Mr Krabs canonically served in the navy and fought in a war but we know nothing about that
if we go by his drivers lisence
krabs was born in 1942. the youngest he could have possibly been to serve in the military is 18 which he wasnt until 1960. bikini bottom uses US currency so we can safely say he lives in united states territory.
Actually he’s not. That’s why he talks in all caps. So he never has to say the Homestuck Symbols.
i cant believe dr. gaster is a fucking ex-homestuck who still reads homestuck but tries to pretend like he doesn’t/never liked homestuck, i cant believe he is a fucking fake ass poser
Pretty sure every homestuck is an ex homestuck due to homestuck being on infinite hiatus.
I’m surprised I haven’t seen more posts about this fight. It shouldn’t be that hard to find, since sans flat out tells you where to go. If you head
back to Grillby’s after beating Sans you’ll find him waiting there for
you. And he’s not happy.
The glasses scroll from right to left or left to right, and they get faster each time.
This one gets really tricky, since the bubbles don’t move in straight
lines and you can’t stop moving. It’s not impossible but I’ve never
avoided taking damage.
And sometimes he just lets one of these loose. This one doesn’t look
too hard to avoid, and it isn’t at first. But it can strike in the
center or on either side, and he’ll sometimes do it in the middle of the
other two attacks.
As you would guess from his defense, one hit is enough to take him
down…but he immediately reignites no matter how many times you do.
The only way to make it stick is to make a detour to Hotland first.
If you carry the cup with you into the battle you have a new option in the act menu.
And with that, Grillby is no more.
This is so well made, I’m so sad that this isn’t a legit thing. Like holy shit, I had to dig up my post-Sans genocide save to go confirm for myself because I didn’t want to believe the post saying that it wasn’t real.
Still, mad props to the creator, like wow, the attention to detail of how seamlessly this fits in with the game’s style, and all the crazy stuff Toby’s already done in the soundtrack.
every time i think about the fact that game grumps will one day end, i have to, immediately think about something else because i get actually legitimately upset, like. what the fuck am i gonna do without game grumps episodes… in my life… ev ery… d a y
I know that feel. I look forward to noon and 4 because that’s when grumps post and it never fails to cheer me up when I’m down.
what was the name you all chose to give the player character when you did your first run through of undertale?
and it is a name you go by in any capacity? (ie: irl name, given name, preferred name, nick name, screen name, name of character you rp as and/or play as and/ or that you heavily identify with?)
leave your answer in reblogs or tags or as an answer, I’m really curious as to the types of names everyone chose!
I relate to jessica jones because I, too, happen to be a broke asshole who wears the same pair of jeans every day while having about a 2% tolerance for all of humanity.
mlp season 5 finale:
the mane 6 end up in an endless multitude of dystopian alternate realities caused by a cutie mark communist where they devote their life to war
My favorite experience on the internet was the time I saw a lesbian on a doctor who forum make a thread about her desire to see “a lesbian dalek.” There was this one dude who got SO ANGRY about it that she and a bunch of other users pulled up a bunch of references proving that Daleks have a concept of gender and use gendered language to identify one another, and how some Daleks (like the Cult of Skaro) are designed to understand and weaponize human emotion, and made this really compelling argument that a lesbian Dalek could exist without violating any of the show’s canon
And the dude just got like really upset and was finally like “HOW WOULD SHE KNOW WHICH OTHER DALEKS ARE WOMEN, THEY ALL WEAR IDENTICAL CASINGS” and this one poster who hadn’t said anything up to this point just said “you know other species besides daleks have women too” and he literally just responded with “AAAAAAAAARGH”
The best part though was that this dude clearly read every single thread on the board (and corrected everyone who said anything about anything), so this lady would occasionally mention her “lesbian Dalek OC” in passing and within a few hours he’d show up with an all-caps, multi-paragraph, misspelled, profanity-laden rant about how there can’t be a lesbian Dalek and how she should stop punishing him for “being a heterosexual”
Clara was once a lesbian dalek. She was a dalek in one life and had a relationship with a during the same life so lesbian dalek.
As I’ve investigated both sides of the abortion debate, I’ve become honestly curious to discover if there is any anti-abortion argument that isn’t based on a lie (or lies). I’m going through the most popular current US anti-abortion talking points and giving each a Politifact-esque truth rating. Let’s investigate!
In this New York Times piece covering the issue of fetal pain, the overwhelming consensus among scientists is that fetuses are not capable of feeling pain before 24 weeks. The few scientists who speculate that fetuses might feel pain before 24 weeks point out that they “did not think their work or current evidence provided scientific support for fetal-pain laws.”
The threefactchecks cited above also cover this ground, but here is the Guttmacher article showing that 9% of US abortion providers are located in majority-black neighborhoods. The toomanyaborted.com page claims that Guttmacher claims that “only 9% of abortion clinics are located in urban neighborhoods,” which means they are lying about Guttmacher lying in order to perpetuate their lie. It’s a lie within a lie.
Major medical organizations, including the American Medical Association and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, disagree. The birth control pill’s primary method of controlling birth is suppressing ovulation, with a backup of preventing implantation in the uterus. Maybe you think every fertilized egg flushed out before implantation is an abortion; in that case, you should definitely be taking the birth control pill, as many, many more zygotes are lost in “natural” sex than sex on the pill.
You should be able to intuitively conclude that this is not true, but if you want a citation, this study shows that the risk of death is 14 times greater in childbirth than in medical abortion.
Truth-o-meter: False
13. Crisis pregnancy centers are legitimate clinics that give scientifically sound information about abortion, which is why employees wear lab coats and are trained in reading ultrasounds.
Crisis pregnancy centers are actually run by volunteers from local Christian churches. These volunteers are almost always not trained in any medical profession, including sonography, which might explain why one center told a woman her IUD was a baby. However, volunteers will frequently wear lab coats and give “intake” paperwork in an attempt to fool clients into thinking they are trained medical professionals. They are well-known forgiving out falsemedical information, including that abortion causes breast cancer, infertility, “post-abortion syndrome,” and child abuse, or that abortion is much more dangerous than childbirth, or that birth control pills are abortifacients, or that condoms don’t work, and the list goes on …
Truth-o-meter: Pants on Fire
14. The focal point of the abortion debate is whether or not a fetus is living.
The focal point of the abortion debate is whether or not pregnant people have the right to bodily autonomy, meaning the right to govern what happens to their own body. You’re welcome to your own personal opinion on when a human being’s life begins, but it’s irrelevant.
Truth-o-meter: False
15. Banning abortion stops abortion.
Multiple comprehensiveworldwide studies by the World Health Organization concluded that countries where abortion is illegal have no lower rates of abortion than countries where it is legal. They do have significantly higher rates of unsafe abortions, however.
I think the biggest difference between the toxic people on Tumblr today and the toxic people on 4chan five-ish years ago is the attitude.
The motto for 4chan was always “just doing it for the lulz”. They’d dox and harass and threaten people, but they seemed to be entirely aware of what they were doing and why. They openly knew what they were doing was wrong and they were just doing it for shits and giggles. They were honest and self-aware.
The toxic people on Tumblr do a lot of the same stuff, albeit with less enthusiasm and creativity. They’ll encourage people to commit suicide, they’ll tell people that they hope they get raped, they’ll spread your personal information. But instead of doing it for fun, they think they’re fucking saving the world.
They don’t tell you to kill yourself because it’ll hurt your feelings. They do it because they think you don’t deserve to live. They won’t dox you to send pizzas to your house. They do it so you’ll lose your job and hopefully someone will go to your house and attack you. They don’t tell you to get raped because it’s an edgy thing to say. They want you to get raped because you don’t 100% agree with feminism.
These are people here who legitimately believe they’re doing God’s work by pulling together thousands of people in hopes of ruining or even ending someone’s life. And that’s much more dangerous.
What they think they're doing:
good harmless fun :)
What they're actually doing:
making me more paranoid, making me ashamed of what I like, more distrustful. More likely to hide all my interests and not want to open up to anybody.
when you’ve been in a fandom so long you no longer care about the dramas
When you’ve been through enough enough fandoms to ignore the same drama over and over again.
OMG a million times this! Especially the second one. The same bullshit starts up in every fandom given enough time. I just let it pass me by.
When you’re just doing your own thing and trying to have a good time but unexpectedly wander into the drama and now you’re just trying to avoid and survive it.
When there’s drama happening across multiple fandoms you’re in
*Another human arrived. Somehow they seem different than the ones I’ve
seen come out of the ruins before. They weren’t stained in dust. That
woman was lucky, if it had been any other case, I’m not sure what I
would do. But a promise is a promise. We’ll see how things go.
*Things are going smoothly so far. They’ve been kind to Papyrus and I.
They haven’t lifted their finger at any of the other monsters. Maybe
humans aren’t all the same after all. Still, there’s determination in
their eyes like the others that concerns me. They’re powerful, whether
they know it or not. I’m just glad that they’re putting that power to
good use.
*They even got Undyne to falter and put down her spear. This kid isn’t
bad. I guess Papyrus pushed for it and they became friends. Undyne
letting a human go, who would have known she’d be capable of something
like that?
*Looks like they finally got to hotlands. Still surprised they’ve made it
this far remaining a pacifist. Plenty of monsters know that the king
needs a last human soul. Everyone is urging to get it to him.
*Even Alphys’s puzzles aren’t an issue for them. Looks like they get
along pretty well too, even when Alphys was lying to them that entire
time. I’m excited to see what other feats they’ll be able to pull off.
But soon they’ll have to face the king. I don’t know if he can put a
kind human soul aside in comparison to all the monsters that have been
trapped here for eras.
