dave: oh my god dude you dont. you really dont have to go this hard dude. just do it shitty. just half ass it

dirk, with about a weeks worth of scraggly unkempt facial hair, snapping on a pair of gloves as he prepares to go wild with some manic panic: Dave, when have you ever known me to half-ass anything in your life

Please take refuge. We are fine here. We shall greet the morning… together.

they say as the moon is just an hour and a half away from falling

This quest gets me every time.

I defeated Majora. I sold my keaton mask, the second mask I ever got and wore throughout the game, last. It was the first time since the second set of three days that I had no mask on for an extended period of time.
I sacrificed my the mask I wore throughout the game to make sure they did greet the morning together.

I was looking at my old posts and made myself sad

serre-la-lumiere:

@ white people who think wearing eagle feather headdresses is just a costume and doesn’t offend natives, I was at a powwow yesterday and one of the dancer’s who was a war veteran accidentally dropped an eagle feather while dancing and we had to stop the entire powwow, the head man and some other elders had to stop and pray over the feather before picking it up. The guy who dropped the father gave a speech, while almost in tears, about how sorry he was to have dropped the feather and how it represented the choices he had to make in combat and the lives of people that were taken, and he ended up passing the feather on to another young dancer instead of keeping it because he felt so ashamed. This is how much eagle feathers mean to a lot of our nations, and that’s how important it is to native veterans. Wearing eagle feathers as a costume or without having to go through combat is disgusting and you ARE offending our traditions and values. Stop. You cannot understand the importance of our customs and you do not deserve to wear eagle feathers.

Here’s a secret for some of y'all: this post isn’t controversial.

just-shower-thoughts:

White people are the only ones not allowed to be proud of the colour of their skin.

You can as long as you don’t hurt others. It’s just most white people who are “proud” are 1. Bigots and 2. Ignorant as hell about actual white cultures. Actual white pride is fascination with ancient Greece, ancient Persia, ancient Assyria, Rome, Germanic Tribes, the Slavs, Celts, etc. Actual white pride is knowing what the PIE language is and how all the European cultures are connected by it. Actual white pride is knowing Iran and Ireland are more linked and alike than different, even if the dominant religions are different. It’s knowing different languages and religions are nothing compared to thousands of years of shared DNA, shared culture, and shared experiences. Actual pride involves knowing history, understanding how everything interacted, and looking forward to leaving similar meaningful historical achievements. Actual pride never oppresses. Actual pride doesn’t make excuses for failures of the past, it looks to make up for them. It is knowing you are the current pinnacle of thousands of years of culture, but everyone before you left meaningful legacies. It is your duty to do the same if you have pride in your heritage. You will be someone else’s heritage someday. You must leave a meaningful legacy for them to be proud of, if you claim to have pride in heritage. That’s what pride really is about, after all. It’s being proud of your ancestors, but more importantly, it’s about improving the world so your descendents can be proud of you. That’s what pride movements are about. White people can do that too, but you have to be willing to learn about the past and willing to improve the future for people you’ll never know. tl;dr: The point of a pride group is making sure people in the future have a better life and a heritage to be proud of.
