technically aren’t the people in fandoms that like intensely adore a villainous character and jump straight to another one when they appear also minions by definition
next time can you just come kill me in person it would be kinder
On everyone’s 18th birthday they receive a letter from their future selves. Some receive long messages about their future lovers or messages about changes they would have made. Yours contains nothing but a small list of locations and the words, “NEVER VISIT”.
“You’d think I would know myself better than this,” you say, typing the first set of coordinates into your GPS.
At every location you find someone. The same person. you two become rivals before you find that they recieved a similar letter. After being rivals for so long you two realize that you love each other. You are now elderly with your spouse writing a letter to your younger self. If you remember correctly you were a hotheaded child who refused to listen to any kind of authority. knowing this you write down every location you encountered your spouse and told yourself not to visit knowing fully well you would.
my personal Least Favorite thing about adhd is when you’re restless and bored and just want to do something but you have no idea what you want to do and none of your interests or ideas seem right so you’re left sitting there doing nothing while the compulsion to do something is simmering in your chest
honestly this whole office type thing is getting really fishy to me bc i searched the company that’s developing it on google and the only things that popped up are their twitter, facebook, and tag on tumblr. like it’s rlly weird that they don’t have a website or anything after they’ve been developing the game for a few months now?
not to mention they’re doing their fundraising for the game through paypal and they have ‘tiers’ like you would for a kickstarter and that’s just.. really suspicious to me especially because they’re super early in development. i don’t trust it
can y'all reblog this tho because i don’t want people giving their money to this when it’s suspicious as hell
Worth noting that they don’t have an address either! The only point of contact listed on their pages is their email, and twitter/tumblr/facebook handle, none of which actually have a named contact (it’s just the company name). There’s no available press material, no business address, no… portfolio material or anything to suggest they’re actually a legit company putting out original material? I mean, as far as I’m concerned, I’m sort of imagining them as like a group of people meeting up in someone’s living room to build this game on Ren’Py or whatever. I don’t think they’re acting in bad faith, but like, this whole thing seems far less legit than most people talking about it seem to think.
I also find it particularly sketch that their justification for making their black characters Angry Scary SJW caricatures is “we’ve worked with these communities” (yikes) when literally the only location info they list is “Chicago.” Like, this city is incredibly segregated and large and living in Chicago doesn’t automatically mean you live somewhere racially diverse. Watch them turn out to be based out of like, Lincoln Park or Andersonville….
can someone give some context as to what company it is?
The Office type was a dating sim btw
Okay that clears it up. i wasnt sure if this was an actual warning against something or some elaborate pepe sylvia-esque shiptpost.

So at work someone just brought up the Tide Pod thing as proof that kids these days are dumb and I pointed out the fact that the fad in the 1920′s was to swallow whole live goldfish (look it up, my grandparents told me about it years ago, it was a Thing.)
And of course some kids choked to death on live goldfish.
He didn’t believe me until he looked it up on his phone. And then he was just quiet for a minute and said “Ok maybe people have just always done dumb shit” and the glow of victory is going to carry me until lunch.
I admire the patience. I’d get really salty or silent
The look of dawning realization when they figure out that it just turns out that humans are dipshits, have always been dipshits, and will likely always be dipshits is Great I highly recommend using this bit of history to point this out to people.
People used to drink mercury, thinking it stopped aging.
I mean, they were right, but still.
Fuck that, people used to drink radium and shit on the premise that “radioactivity does stuff and that’s good right”.
“Some humans would do anything to see if it was possible to do it. If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying ‘End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH’, the paint wouldn’t even have time to dry.” ― Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time
In thirty thousand notes this is the best comment thank you.
Simply put: Every generation has done the most stupidest things.
us millennial planked on top of mcdonalds signs and jumped across buildings yelling parkour. Gen y played chicken with moving cars and bloody knuckles. baby boomers would stuff themself in phonebooths and risk suffocation.
I was
doing some design work for an older woman. She was the absolute sweetest thing,
very nice and always receptive to any changes I had to make. But.
We
were making small talk while waiting for something to render, and it came up
that I have anosmia; I was born without a sense of smell.
Client: You can’t smell anything at all? Not even if somebody… Passed gas?
Me: Nope, not a thing.
Almost
immediately, I heard the smallest little toot. I didn’t mention anything. But
it happened every time we talked after that. For weeks.
I
didn’t have the heart to tell her my hearing works just fine.
shitting on other ships’ dynamics to tout the superiority and inevitability of your own ship because you are annoyed with fandom is OUT
making content for your ship and celebrating what you love about it while acknowledging and respecting that other people have different interpretations and relationships to a work of fiction is IN
maybe if this gets 1k notes people will finally understand
