this is less a post about the racism itself than it is about the double standard of how the fandom tends to regard junkrat and zarya
Characters who canonically hate omnics: Junkrat (The Omnium Core that belonged to Omnics in Australia detonated, turning the outback into an irradiated wasteland.) Torbjorn (His paranoia about Sentient robots was justified when the first omnic crisis happened) (, Zarya (Hometown was destroyed by omnics as a child and russia is currently experiencing a second omnic crisis.)
Characters who probably hate omnics:
Reinhardt (His hometown was destroyed by omnics) Hanzo (The only person he actually killed in his short was an omnic) Reaper ( “Tin cans. A dime a dozen.”)
Characters who are omnics:
Zenyatta, Bastion, Genji (Okay he’s not REALLY an Omnic, but he’s often treated like one and feels more comfortable around Omnics, so i’m gonna put him here anyway.)
“Conversion therapy” is child abuse. There is no gray area. There is no wiggle room. The fuckers who practice it are abusers. The fuckers who send their children off to be “converted” are abusers. Assholes who say “I wouldn’t do it, but that’s their right as parents” are abuse apologists.
It’s literally torture? The entire intention of the process is to torture the kid until they develop a mental disorder that causes them to be repulsed by anything they are attracted to. There is nothing else to it.
For those of you who don’t know, the Electoral College has the final say in December. It’s only happened once or twice, but sometimes they vote against a candidate who’s already “won”. Candidates can win the popular election and still lose the electoral college’s election. THIS IS OUR LAST SLIVER OF A CHANCE TO KEEP BUTT TRUMPET OUT OF OFFICE!
