Good news! The issue i was having with the dashboard was resolved! turns out that the new dashboard was conflicting with tumblr savior (despite it being disabled because it stopped working long ago) and deleting the extension altogether worked
remember when tumblr used to have the format for reblogged additions on posts be indented instead of vertical and if the post had enough additions to it (which happened frequently because no one on tumblr can shut their fucking mouth) it would just push all the text off the side of the post completely and it became unreadable. it would get so far pushed over that it would just be exactly one character per line and you had to read the post like that. that was a real thing that happened
Avatar Zuko slaps alright but…… Nonbender zuko?? Like, kid majored in Swords with a minor in theater how cool would it have been…..
plus theres a ton more parallels to do here…between aang, the full avatar, and zuko the prodigy non bender ??? Between sokka and him, nonbender between the benders ??
also like hgjfk theres a ton of stuff to explore here ???
my point is : Non bender Zuko
It makes sense, I mean by the end of the series, ozai was a nonbender
Hey i just wanted to let you know mobile didnt get that update so things are still readable if you need/ want to temporarily switch to that while we wait for someone to (hopefully) fix it
I know. its just extremely frustrating that desktop has become less functional than mobile
oh boo hoo, youre illiterate. If you dont like the new layout then go somewhere else
I am extremely dyslexic. I CANNOT read uninterrupted blocks of text. its been fairly manageable over the years due to the reblogs breaking the posts up into easy to parse chunks for the most part as well as make it clear as to who was saying what. My main conniption with the new style is that it does not break the post up nor tell who said what.
Lets look like an old iconic post shall we?
There is no indication of which person is saying what or even how many people are involved in this chain. this removes all incentive to even bother trying to read or figure out whats going on. Its not a matter of literacy, its a matter of functionality.
I think the most egregious thing about the dashboard update is that it removes any incentive to read at all. Theres no breaks. every text is now a huge block of text that has no indication of when one persons post ends and someones reblog response begins. Let alone no way to see WHO posted and reblogged it or even if the person on the dash is the one leaving a comment.
