OK so apparently a bunch of people with throwaway email accounts have been going around and submitting a music video from some underground garage band to people (the band has already said they’re not the ones doing it). The music video is a bunch of cis guys in makeup and dresses and wigs and stuff, and apparently the video is being sent to trans girls in an effort to trigger dysphoria (and apparently somebody thought I’m a trans girl because I got it sent to me). If you get a music video for a song called Like a Lady by Crosa Rosa in your submission box, just delete it.

So I just realized that someone is submitting a music video to a bunch of different users
This one seems to be the most common one. I first saw the submission on tumblr mobile and thought it was weird that there was no username attached to it, it was just a blank space. But then I went on my laptop and saw that theres a name and a hotmail account attached to it.

I clicked it and I was sent to a blank page. Not sure if it gave me a virus or not. Plus it’s pretty fishy since I didn’t know that tumblr allowed people to submit stuff with hotmail. I googled searched the email address but nothing showed up that seemed relevant to it. Plus other people are getting this video with different email addresses, all by hotmail, sent to them

Different email addresses with different names which is pretty odd. At first it seemed like some sort of publicity stunt where the band is spamming everyones inboxes with their music video but it backfired. But it seems strange that the spammer would use different email addresses, but they probably created a couple of spam bots.
The band themselves, Crosa Rosa, stated that they are not the one’s spamming people, but in the end who knows?
As for whether or not the video is transphobic, I’m honestly not sure since I haven’t seen the video so I’ll have to check it out.
