In the ending to Super Mario 64, Peach walks away in the direction of the castle and calls for Mario from offscreen, whereupon Mario runs off in the same direction Peach went. Moving the camera during the cutscene reveals that Peach simply stops once she is outside the field of view, and that Mario runs through her on his way to the castle.

not to mention a lot of the characters from black and white cartoons were complete assholes. I mean, have you ever seen steamboat willie? mickey swings a cat by the tail and hits baby pigs trying to ween.
