I’ve heard some people say that the reason the new PowerPuff Girls reboot isn’t violent because Cartoon Network won’t allow violent shows on the channel anymore, but let me point out a show that contradicts that, Steven Universe.
Steven Universe has almost every single type of fighting imaginable, fist fighting, sword fighting, wrestling, it’s all there! Characters have been smashed, slamed, crashed, bashed, hit on the head, beaten up, knocked out, and on multiple occasions STABBED RIGHT THROUGH THE BODY! They only loose their physical form cause of a gem thing explained in further detail on the show, but still.
Oh and if and if SU isn’t enough of an example for you, Adventure Time has included a lot of violence as well (mainly sword fights), including one episode where Finn the human GETS HIS ARM RIPPED OFF HIS FREAKIN BODY! There’s no blood of course and it ends up growing back later (Because magic or something), but that doesn’t change the fact that HE GOT HIS ARM RIPPED OFF HIS FREAKIN BODY!
So, going over and repeating this again for emphasis Cartoon Network in recent years has shown in two of their most popular series A CHARACTER GETTING HIS ARM RIPPED OFF and MULTILPLE PEOPLE GETTING STABBED RIGHT THROUGH THE BODY! CN isn’t to blame here, by the looks of it CN obviously has no problem with violence. More than likely it’s the writers fault for why the PowerPuff Girls can barely land a punch in the new reboot and for why on the rare occasion where they do land a punch it lacks any impact!
That is all for now.
don’t forget how garnet was bisected
That was way more violent than getting stabbed through the chest
This is the Memorial to the Missing and contains over 50,000,000 pennies to represent the lives of each American child abandoned to abortion by a society and a culture that has embraced their destruction. We must prevent the need to add to this memorial. Take a stand. Get involved.
”How we treat the least of us defines us.”
“should I use this $500k to help struggling parents and pregnant people or should I put it in a glass box”
^ reblogged for the comment
“money that can be useful for victims of rape and abuse is sitting in a glass box to remind us how we care more about the ‘lives’ of unborn fetuses than the lives of homeless children”
Why are people so willfully stupid.
i’m about to go find this and smash it open i s2g
Funnily, the Bible clearly states fetuses aren’t people, so…I’m not sure why they would imprison a bunch of pennies over it?
What she means:
In Legally Blonde, Elle only gets accepted because she's hot and sent a video, but she had a 4.0 and got a 179 (out of 180) on her LSATS. Sure, her major was in Fashion Merchandising but that's a business major, and the fake school she was at was supposed to be UCLA so she had a business degree from a major college, probably went to a great high school, had a 4.0, and a 179 on the LSATS and at that point she would have been automatically accepted so why did they make it sound like she was such a bad risk? She even had leadership experience as president of a major chapter of what is apparently a huge sorority, since Delta Nus are shown as everything from cheerleaders to senators. Harvard should have been desperate to take her. She should have been able to get in if she turned in a cocktail napkin with her name written on it. So why make up the bullshit excuse of "multiculturalism" to justify letting in an extremely qualified and highly driven candidate just for laughs? Elle Woods deserved to go to Harvard and she earned that place with academic excellence and not by being hot.
“Just another quartz soldier born right here in the dirt.”
yeah because it’s impossible that she could have lied to bismuth about where she was spawned.
My question is, if she was just a regular quartz soldier, why was she the one in charge how the architecture came out? hell, even jasper was taking orders from peridot. Quartz soldiers are just soldiers meant to take orders. So why was she taking orders from rose before the war if rose was just a regular quartz soldier?
