Jasper has Fusion High

jasper-appreciation:

Malachite was a mutually abusive relationship no doubt. It hurt, it was painful and bad for everyone but Jasper acts like it’s the best thing that ever happened to her. She literally got on her knees and BEGGED Lapis to fuse again

image

And while it can be seen as a codependent abusive relationship I think Jasper’s side of the story will play out like a drug addiction. Malachite was totally toxic, very painful and kept her prisoner in her own body for months. And yet the feel of power she got from it, how it made her feel once she got used to it was SO AMAZING for her she needed more. Now she’s trying to go in for another hit and since it takes two to fuse, she went right back to what gave her that high in the first place. Like an addict crawling back to their dealer.

I bet what’ll happen next will be ‘Fusion Sickness’. Jasper assumed she could walk up to Lapis again and fuse because she knew Lapis was getting something out of Malachite too. Jasper thought Lapis liked it like she did. Now that she’s been rejected Jasper will get desperate, more aggressive and more pushy. Maybe look for ANYONE willing to fuse with her just to feel some level of stronger, just to get ANY kind of Fusion High going.

Once she fails to find anyone then it’ll be ‘Fusion Withdrawal’. She’ll feel her own limitations, maybe finally realize she is trapped on an enemy planet without any allies. She’ll be alone. After months of being constantly stuck with someone inside the same body Jasper will be completely alone and I don’t think she can handle that now. She might fall apart because as of Alone At Sea she came to almost identify herself as part of Malachite.

I think that’s when Steven will realize Jasper is hurting too and that he needs to help her

We’ve seen this before with sardonyx and sugalite. Pearl said she tricked garnet into fusing with her to make sardonyx because it made her feel stronger and sugalite refused to unfuse because she didn’t want to be two weak individuals. Garnet and stevonnie are probably the only non addictive fusions because they are a fusion of love, not power.

If your car gets a parking ticket, always check the plate number on the ticket.

labelleizzy:

lifepro-tips:

Story time: yesterday I found a ticket on my car’s windshield. It was from a private parking enforcement company and my car was parked on the street. I knew I was legally parked, and I also happen to be a former employee of this company and know that they don’t check street parking (the city does). I checked the plate number on the ticket, and it was for a different car - same color and type as mine, but different manufacturer.

This is actually the second time something like this has happened to me. The first time was when I was working for this parking enforcement company. One of the perks was that when I was off-duty I’d be able to park in company-run lots without paying and if I got ticketed, I’d just turn it over to my boss to void at the end of the week. One day I got a ticket for a car that wasn’t mine and pointed it out to my boss, thinking that the lot-checker that day must really suck at his job. My boss says “I know what this is” and explains to me that sometimes people will try to get out of paying a ticket by leaving it on the windshield of another car, hoping that the other driver will pay it without noticing it wasn’t for them. He said “This is one ticket I won’t be voiding - let’s let them have fun with our collections department.” What killed me the most about that one was that the car it was for was a brand new BMW convertible, and I was driving a 20-year-old Mazda that showed all the signs of having been the car that two siblings and I had first learned to drive in. In the absence of any other evidence, I’m forced to assume the BMW belonged to Donald Trump.

TL;DR: there are dickheads out there who will try to trick you into paying their parking ticket for them by leaving it on your windshield, so make sure to check the plate number on the ticket before paying it off.

Shit. Wow. Some people are dickheads.

North Korea declared war on us and I found out via meme

So North Korea hasn’t exactly declared war. They have considered our (The USA’s) actions an act of war, and have decided to treat us as though we are at war, but no formal declaration has been made.

The deal right now is that if we engage in war games with them,  as we are supposed to do in August, they’ve said it could get ugly, but they are not (as far as anyone can tell, or as far as anyone high-up seems worried about) launching a full scale attack or declaring outright war.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2016/07/28/north-korea-united-states-relations/87659264/

That’s the best-written story about it, but there are plenty more. Don’t just read the headlines, either, because one said the words “North Korea declares war” but the article said exactly what the USA Today article above said.

THERE HAS BEEN NO FORMAL DECLARATION OF WAR.

Please be careful about spreading information. We are all scared right now, and we don’t need to start believing that things are worse than they are.
