I cannot imagine a more smug and aggravating man than a person who makes a children’s movie with a message of “fuck you, children.”
this whole quote literally makes no fucking sense???? like, besides the typical anti-millennial ageism, it’s like “ugh, kids these days are so entitled, with their safety equipment and desire not to get debilitating head injuries while playing a sport they’ve probably been pressured into playing by their families and society as a whole”???? but also it shows he doesn’t know shit about racing!!!! racing is ALL ABOUT having the most cutting edge technology, and taking stuff to the next level. that’s how you win!!!! mercedes’ formula one team has won the drivers’ and constructors’ world titles for the last three years because they have the most high-tech vehicles, their drivers have the best training, and they take the sport to a new level
i’m not just offended as a member of the generation they’re mocking, i’m offended as a mechanic and car aficionado. how the FUCK do they make three movies ostensibly about race cars and not know anything about racing???
good god
no one is allowed to tell me that Pixar is original and on top of their game, because of this and Coco
isn’t this just Lightnings plot from the first film?
Like he thought he was hot shit refused assistance from his team, and refused advice from Doc cause he was an older model. I guess the only difference is once Lighting finds out who Doc was he takes the advice, but yeah this is legit the same plot only Lightning is now Doc. God I hate this franchise
people are saying this happens because Sparkling Aria cures burns, so if your Pokémon has a burn he will try to heal it and make that heal extra good by doing a z-move instead of a normal one
and if that’s not fitting for him then i don’t know what is
Millennials, let’s be the generation that ends the “bitterly criticize the youth” cycle. When we’re old, let’s embrace and nurture them and commend them for facing challenges we might have created.
like it’s outright stated in the official comic that she’s on the “spectrum” aka the austism spectrum (bc what other spectrum could she be referring to?? one that makes her “different”, unable to mesh well with other people in a formal setting but excelling at a specific academia, that makes her love order????)
like it isn’t “implied”, she confirms it. she’s come to terms with it after being ridiculed for it and has learned to embrace it, since it’s the reason why she’s one of the best at hard light manipulation
symmetra is too good for us
Blizzard confirmed that YES she does mean the autism spectrum. So doubters can eat it
For those who were scrambling for a source like I was, I think I found the answer!
It wasn’t Blizzard, per se, but it was the writer of the comic, Andrew Robinson.
Both Tweets thanking him about the autism representation, and him calling it a privilege to write for the officially-sanctioned comic.
It’s canon. It’s confirmed canon. Symmetra is canonically autistic, I’m beside myself right now, oh my gosh.
thank you for the extra confirmation and sources!! people have been asking about it in the tags a lot so it’s super nice to know it’s Official official!!!
