Hey guys, this stuff isn’t a hoax. But I don’t think you should panic, either! I took this screenshot just now of my business settings in Paypal - HOWEVER I don’t think they’re trying to catch people or honeypot. I still wouldn’t use it, as their TOS mentions nothing about adult art/services being okay. Please be aware that this is real, just don’t wig out so much and keep your wits about you.
I had a feeling this whole thing was fake when it first popped up a few days ago, but figured it was worth it to at least inform people, since it couldn’t hurt. Glad to know everyone was partially right.
It’s not exactly fake but the post saying it was a trap was overreacting and misreading things like usual. What IS against the rules is using paypal to purchase sexual service because that’s prostitution, which is illegal. What isn’t against the rules is buying sex toys and porn.
