The number of viewers has been going DOWN during this “Summer of Steven” event, and that stinks! Yes, I know a lot of people saw the leaked episodes, and all that. I don’t blame y’all. But please, PLEASE, make sure to watch the show when it airs on TV! The Crewniverse needs the numbers, because that’s all that Cartoon Network cares about (well, that and merchandise sales). If you have cable, and live in the US, please watch the show when it airs! Buy some of the merch from Cartoon Network’s store, or Hot Topic. Send messages of praise about this show (CN checks social media sites, too!)
This is one of the best animated shows that I’ve seen in a while, please give it the ratings it deserves <3 Thank you, and spread the word!
yeah don’t fucking tell me that the leaks aren’t hurting. if you watched the eps that aired in paris instead of waiting for them to air here on CN america then you are part of the problem.
Support the show by watching it on TV if you are part of the Nielsen representation group, otherwise just buy the merch (including DVD’s) and watch it wherever however you please.
For real guys… if you don’t have a Nielson box, you watching the show on air makes no difference, there’s no way for them to know you were watching.
If you’re asking yourself “what’s a Nielson box?” right now, then odds are you don’t have a Nielson box. It’s a voluntary thing that you have to opt into and they only contact people by complete chance in order to get a random sample. The latest numbers I could find said there were about 6,400 American households with Nielson boxes, compared to 116.4 million households with TVs in America.
This means that you have an 0.00005% chance of having a Nielson box in any given household.
If you are one of those 6,400 people households, make sure to tune in! If you are a member of the other 99.99995% of us who do not have a Nielson box, you can and should watch the episodes live, but it won’t support the show’s ratings. BUT there are still ways you can support the show!
One thing they DO track and pay attention to is their numbers for people who watch the new episodes live on Cartoon Network’s website!
