The subplot of Holes was hands down the greatest love story of our generation
Yiffy truly looks like someone who had to grow up with the name Yiffy and there is no one left to give her shit about it, in the best way possible. (I know some of that is her being pissed but I am one of many who fucking digs her aesthetics.)
That said, I have a very advanced and important genetic theory about why the writers wanted Rose specifically to be the Strilonde side of Yiffy’s parentage, as illustrated below.
As you can see, Rose truly inherited Dirk’s willingness to tear you to fucking shreds, and they clearly felt this was essential for Yiffy to have.
On a more serious note, every update on Yiffy demonstrates more nad more insanity regarding her, and I think further cements my theory that the whole thing was highly influenced by Alt Calliope (and her departure is one of the reasons people are starting to realize some of their terrible ideas and come out of the fog, so to speak.)
dirk is insanely jealous of rose for like two weeks because he texted her asking for her help on a project and she responded “I cant I’m with my girlfriend Katana” (because even earth c phones autocorrect names) and dirk is. so mad. where is his boyfriend named after a sword. what is the universe’s problem.
