Of an age you ASSUME is old, but they can be a lot older than that and wont get sick as often.
Hairballs, puking, illness, bladder issues, just read the damn article and stop trying to excuse feeding them something that someone is TELLING you is bad for them

They are NOT omnivores! They are CARNIVORES.
So quit giving them OMNIVORE DIETS.
It’s about as bad as putting your cat on a damn vegan diet.
Just because they seem ok does not mean they are ok. House cats on dry cat food tend to be overweight and most animals instinctually do not show discomfort until it’s too late. So just because kitty SEEMS fine, you might be seeing him puking out of nowhere the next day and you know why?
BECAUSE KITTY IS BEING FED THE MCDONALDS BURGERS OF CAT FOOD.
This reminds me of that time someone was trying to convince people dogs can live off of a vegan diet when the dog was severely malnourished and someone else claimed that their dog lived to seven on a vegan diet assuming seven was old but they were called out because dogs usually live to be around 14 so that dog barely lived half his age
when i say ‘please go read this and do research’ it does not mean ‘come up with another excuse without looking’
I get that this is the stuff that was ingrained in your heads but it
takes very literally only a few seconds to type a question in google,
and maybe 5-10 to skim or read an article to get a general idea of
things.
That’s not much time at all, and I know you want to ask me
all the time but I’m learning this stuff too and that’s why I BEG and
PLEAD that people please try to do research on their own too, especially
when I provide said research in a convenient link.
I really don’t
like when people keep prodding, I don’t like having to simplify things
constantly, it really stressed me out at times. I’m ok with it
sometimes, but other times it’s just… if it’s right there, please
look. I’m giving it to you for a reason, you don’t need me to parrot
everything I research, you guys are smarter than you give yourselves
credit, so give your brains some brain food and keep it constantly
learning
otherwise you’ll just be stuck asking questions over and over without actually bothering to absorb the answers because someone else did it instead
