Like it literally doesn’t matter if Trump can’t do any of the impossible, illegal things he’s promised. It doesn’t matter, because as soon as a platform built on hate is validated in this way, culture changes. Britain the morning after the Brexit vote was a different place. It wasn’t just the measurable rise in hate crimes and plummeting economy, it was people feeling free to say all the ugliest things they’d ever thought because they knew at least half the country was behind them.

In the coming days and months, please stay safe. Please never stop fighting for a better world. This won’t be forever.

Tonight is going to be a bummer. In the event that Hilary Clinton doesn’t make a miraculous comeback, you guys need to remember that this is not the end of the world. We’re going to be okay. We’re strong, and anything Trump wants to do has to go through and be approved by Congress. Its going to be a blistering four years with this chump, but we are going to get through it.

And when its over, let this thought sit with you.

This tangelo of a man has put himself up for the finest public humiliation of them all. Being an incompetent idiot in the White House. Think about the past presidents we have had that were less than savory in our media. To this day way make jokes at how horrendous Nixon was, or how childish Bill Clinton could be, or how stupidly 2001 and forth was handled by George W. Bush Jr. Hitler is a popular topic to poke with a hot iron stick for a few barrels of yucks, and we can easily say that while this is going to be absolutely awful for a lot of minorities in our country we will not see anything so dangerous ever again. By we the people, it just will not happen. We won’t let it happen.

Let Trump go down in history. Let him be immortalized in our school text books as literally the most unqualified, loud-mouthed, crude, idiotic sack of shit president this country has ever seen. It is something he has willingly subjected himself to in exchange for his four years of fame as our country’s glorified kumquat poster boy. I, for the first time in my life, am actually looking forward to what Family Guy has in store for us on the matter. Hell, Simpsons was already ahead of us on this ball.

We make fun of GOOD presidents from hundreds of years ago like Washington and Lincoln. Literally no one is safe. This is going to be wild for historians.

Trump you have made a grave mistake. You should have stayed in your place. May your ridicule be long and fruitful. May the ones that voted for you hopefully see just how unacceptable this election has been and learn from it if they have more than two brain cells to split.

I’ll see you guys in hell.

I hope people put him with the worst presidents right there with harding and nixon.

This is how it is: Trump gets sworn in January 20th. We’ve still got 2.5-ish months under the Obama Administration. Between now and then there’s the chance to make a media circus out of Donald Trump’s upcoming sexual assault trial, creating more friction between him and his party, giving us at least a little breathing room in congress. He’s appointing three new judges this term, so checks and balances (which weren’t really adjusted well for a two-party system) won’t be in good working condition for the Democrats (which counts third-party and non-voters and basically any minority because welcome to reality).

So first thing: fight for that media circus. House reps will do ANYTHING for reelection. Friction within the party will force them to pick sides.

Second thing: VOTE IN 2018. Mid-term elections are a thing. ALL 435 SEATS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES WILL BE CONTESTED. Go out and VOTE. We can win back the house. That’s one victory we sorely need. 33/100 SEATS OF SENATE WILL BE CONTESTED. We can win that back, too. 38 GOVERNORSHIPS WILL BE CONTESTED. If your county’s red, time to turn that around. VOTE ON NOVEMBER 6TH, 2018.

The clock is ticking guys.

listen.

even if trump wins, it doesn’t mean it’s over. congress will not let him do most of what he wants to do (i mean, a lot of it’s unconstitutional, lmao). even if they do, it will a take a long time, perhaps even bleeding over into the next president’s term (and i hope to god that next president is a democrat). so do not assume that everything he proposes will happen! and voting is not our only way to participate in the government. protest. lobby. fight. don’t just accept a trump victory. if he wins, we need to fight harder than ever. we can’t give up. we can mitigate the effects of a trump presidency, but we need to fight.

millennials are a powerful group. we can make our voices heard. i know it’s scary. but it’s more important than ever to fight. don’t give trump an easy victory. fight as hard as you can for the entire 4 years he might be president. and help each other, protect each other. lift up your head and fight together. it’s easy to be discouraged, but the fight is not over.

i’m scared, too. i’m scared for my life. and take the time you need to take a deep breath and get away from everything for a little while. but in the end, if trump wins, we cannot make that easy for him. people are making a trump presidency seem like doomsday right now, but congress, checks and balances, and the actions of people – like us – can stop most of it from happening. the only bad thing that is really guaranteed to happen under a trump presidency is the appointment of some conservative supreme court justices (but even then congress has to approve them).

so tl;dr: if trump wins, the fight is not over. take a deep breath and hold your head high. he cannot, and will not, do everything that he’s proposed. so keep fighting and don’t let him destroy everything we’ve worked for.

except republicans got majority of the house and senate and they won’t openly oppose a republican president.

Harambe had 11,000 votes… What the fuck. Damn…. 11,000 people really waited in line, went to all the effort, and put in the name of a dead gorilla. It’s not even relevant as a meme anymore.

11,000 fucking adults really woke their asses up, got dressed, travelled to a polling location, stood in line, and voted for fucking harambe.

If my anxiety about this current election could be amassed, it would be so big that we could live on it and make a new country.
