people apologize so much for getting passionate about their interests and it suuuuucks. like of course there’s a time and place for everything but so many people get it subtly or overtly wailed into them that they’re not supposed to be excited about the things they like, from like fucking rock climbing to marine biology and it’s just ass. hearing someone who’s really passionate and enthusiastic about the stuff they’re vested in that i might not know the slightest lick about can be so dang good
