chara takes a tumble somewhere betwen 2010 and 2019, which since theyre a kid when they do and thats a big span of time could mean they’re exposed to shit from 4chan to present day tumblr to maybe even a few pieces of content we dont know about yet depending on what exactly 201X means
asriel existed at the same time but only came in contact with Monster Memes or human memeorabilia that he found in the trash. people dont ditch stuff until its past its prime, and then everyone gets over the thing pretty much at once. based on my observations as someone who goes thrifting a lot, this means if chara fell in present day, asriel might know what a rage face is (which would, uh, actually maybe explain some things). if they fell in 2010, it would make chara a millennial and asriel a 90′s kid mentally

papyrus had never seen a human before. theres a ton of factors and i cant prove anything but if we make it easy and assume that a) papyrus is an adult who ages like a person and b) the fallen children did their thing at kinda sorta equal intervals we can assume that frisk wound up in the underground well into the 2100′s. frisk is on a level we can’t even comprehend. frisk is a powerful and frightening force of nature. frisk has a chip in the back of their neck that blasts fresh juicy content into their irony lobe at seventeen thousand posts per second.
