This piece of text about the War always made me curious. It obviously shows humans are capable of using magic, but it never says how.

We know monsters are magical, they are capable of using magic due to the fact their physical bodies are made of magic and composed wholly of their SOULS, whereas Human’s bodies and SOULS are separate. And Monster’s magic changes depending on their form and their SOUL (thoughts, feelings, etc.)

So how do certain Humans learn magic? How is it different from Monster magic? Is it really all that different, or is it of a similar nature? Is composed of Human SOUL power? The Barrier reacts to SOUL power, so does that mean it was created with SOUL power?

It’s one of the big mysteries in Undertale lore I desperately want to know more about.

This has always fascinated me as well.  I would have loved to have more insight on how different (if at all) human magic is from monster magic.

One of my headcanons is that after monsters were banished, magic in the human world diminished greatly because monsters were gone.  Their interactions with the world at large was one of the greatest sources for magic and nobody realized that.  Naturally occurring magical things stopped existing or are extremely rare in the human floor like echo flowers, enchanted forests, fairy lights, etc.   Maybe the only kind of magic still existing in the human world is the practical kind, like potions or enchantments.  Or maybe it only exists in some small capacity where a few monsters still roam, like around the Loch Ness Lake.  Nessie being one of few monsters that weren’t captured by the barrier.

Which could also mean another situation.  If monsters are a big source of magic, that means that THEY are the ones keeping the barrier up.  Its their belief that they are trapped that keeps them Underground and that’s why it takes a human element to convince them otherwise.

If you think about it, each of the seven soul colours have their own magic, but it probably lays dormant. It could probably be unlocked somehow.

If you think about it, the red souls ability to return after death is a magic in itself. As well as the yellow souls ability to fire projecties and the green souls ability to create shields. Blue probably has some sort of gravity manipulation. Orange is strength. Not sure what purple or light blue are. But yeah, many humans are probably able to use magic, it’s just dormant.

the reason we didn’t get to hear blue pearl speak is that she can only say fuck

This would imply that blue diamond had her made with that being one of her main functions which I am okay with.

god I’m absolutely going to hell I’m sorry guys

I was at my friend’s engagement party yesterday and everyone was about to do cheers with these nasty ass shots of blue tequila but I don’t drink and I especially do not drink tequila, blue or otherwise, so I grabbed a piece of bread from the basket on the table and just tapped it against people’s glasses like it was a legitimate beverage instead of a wheat byproduct

and one of my friends was like ‘ho what in god’s name are you doing’

and I didn’t know how to say I would rather slice of my own foot than drink tequila so I just held my bread up and said ‘I’m toasting’

and in that moment I felt my soul descend directly into the eighteenth circle of hell

As a dad i approve of this
