Or, you know, don’t.

Every time I make a post that gets over 5,000 notes I always know someone is going to pull something like this. Someone is going to manipulate my empathy for a fictional talking tiger and make it political.

John A. Bryant himself is not running that twitter. We’re probably talking about some poor social media specialist just trying to get through their day roleplaying as a cereal mascot while constantly being sexually harassed by strange furries. Don’t you dare tell me not to feel sorry for them just because they work for an evil corporation. Everybody works for an evil corporation.

You people just never chill out.

Did they just try to pull receipts on Tony the Tiger

im trying to stay woke over here

Unpopular opinion that shouldn’t be unpopular: anti-bullying programs in school that don’t address the root causes of bullying - which are almost invariably larger forms of bigotry and oppression like racism, ableism and homophobia - are completely useless and ultimately futile.

When I brought this up in front of the Seattle Times Editorial Board they gave me the strangest look and my heart sort of sank into oblivion.

The whole discourse on bullying is purposefully meant to distract from systems of oppression and to simultaneously place blame on oppression on students in general. The whole thing about middle/high school inherently being a place where children are bullied is also used by school administrators to ignore what influence systemic oppression has in a specific incident (notably when fighting is involved) and then punish the bullied student for their reactions.

About Censorship

plebcomics:

This whole business about which forms of censorship are good and which are not remind me a lot of a “Simpsons” episode, namely episode 22: Itchy & Scratchy & Marge. If you have some free time you can watch it here. It should take about 20 minutes.

Quick summary: Marge discovers that the violent cartoon Itchy & Scratchy is influencing Maggie into commiting acts of violence, she begins a protest so the show is changed into something that isn’t so violent. A lot of concerneparents join her and ultimately do get the cartoon changed into something that sends of care and friendship.

The show is incredibly dull, and kids quickly lose interest, they go play outside and everyone’s lifes are better for it.

Later, Michelangelo’s David is set for a tour across the USA, and when its time for it to go to Springfield the same group of people that changed the cartoon rally again and ask Marge to lead them agains the “obscenity” that is the sculpture, for it is naked.

Marge being an artist herself is actually in support of the showing of the sculpture, and believes everyone should go see it. When people begin to question how it is that she supports one form of artistic expression and not the other, the cartoons go back to being what they were before and life returns to normal.

As The Simpsons were quite controversial when it started, it could’ve been really easy for the team to just make an episode of “Screw Censorship” and be done with it, but they bring up some very interesting points during the episode

Point is, you should never try to impose your worldview on others, even if what you think the others enjoy is garbage or harmful.

What’s up guys, welcome to my new speedrun video. Today, I’ll be showing you how to beat Super Mario 64 without taking the game out of the box. But first, we need to talk about alternate timelines and the complete dissipation of matter
