Anonymous asked: Random question, I know, but I know you both A: watch Let's Plays, and B: are an Undertale fan, so I wanna ask: Are there any real reasons not to watch a play-through instead of playing it yourself? Asking as someone who (probably) can't get the game themselves. I know some people get all weird about it, but I think that's mostly the a$$hole minority that's in any fandom?

Well, there’s a lot of cool things that the LPrs miss. Because they have to be entertaining, they don’t follow battles like shyrin or the amalgamates to the end, they only play until they can spare. If you keep doing certain actions, you can give certain monsters closure.

Also, they don’t use the stick on everything which as an item, the stick is extremely useful.

But above all else, it’s a special experience to you. I’m not saying you can’t get attatched to teh game by watching, it’s just that it’s a whole new story when you actually play.

Every time I read that post about doing things out of spite I remember that C. S. Lewis put that fucking street lamp in Narnia because Tolkien once said that no good fantasy story would have a lamp in it.

my depression is just like “hey instead of making you sad we’re going to make you really lazy and unable to function so that people just get annoyed with you rather than feel bad for you”
