This outlandish homophobic troll is under the impression that being a lesbian causes the vagina to “dry out.”
Like he thinks only some sort of magical man-aura induces fluid production I guess.
And if you don’t moisten yourself with regular dude exposure you will get sick diseases.
this is such a medieval way of thinking about vaginas like it’s actually a peg lower than thinking someone who’s on their period is being temporarily possessed by some sort of evil force
see, the lady parts, the name of which must never be spoken lest one incur the lord’s wrath, are where the lady body stores extra blood when not using it to grow and nourish the early stage of human life, the homunculus. This blood contains large amounts of metal, which become the bones of the homunculus as it develops.
It’s the presence of man parts and their magnetic aura which excite the iron and spur the lady parts into activity, causing them to work up a sweat. This is important as it rids her body of evil smells, which would otherwise pollute the homunculus with sinful thoughts and cause her child to be born left-handed.
Please don’t feel bad if you see Frisk, the main character of Undertale, as a specific gender, boy or girl or otherwise.
This is how they were designed, so that you could more easily identify with Frisk and their journey. That’s not a bad thing! Just understand that not everyone will see Frisk the way you do, and there’s NO ONE RIGHT WAY to see them.
Let’s all get along and enjoy Undertale for the amazing journey it is, okay? That’s the main point after all!
This is a polite way of dismissing nonbinary players who like that Frisk is in canon nonbinary.
There’s been many posts on this, so I’ll summarize the main point, but you’re not supposed to project yourself onto Frisk. The game was literally designed to make you believe, at first, you were creating an avatar of yourself by naming the fallen child.
But, if you played through and completed the Pacifist Run, it’s revealed to you that the character you named was not the character you were controlling, and that their name, their personality, their whole being, is not supposed to be a reflection of you. They’re Frisk; they go by they/them pronouns, even after their friends learn their name, Flowey, who previously was referring to the first fallen child, calls Frisk by name and refers to them as a different person to you by directly talking about them to you.
Frisk’s character arc centers around your gradual realization that they’re not ambiguous or your avatar; they’re Frisk and nothing else. That’s why the line, “Still just you, Frisk,” exists, because it’s supposed to show their individuality.
Not only is dismissing this really subtle jab at RPGs for the morality of controlling the protagonist dismissing an important story element Toby Fox wanted to convey, but it’s rude to nonbinary players who originally projected onto Frisk thinking they’d never be nonbinary and then being ecstatic to see them be nonbinary after all.
There’s so many cis girl and even more cis boy protagonists; just let us have Frisk. Frisk, as a nonbinary protagonist in an incredibly well-received and mass-played game, is so much more important than another cis character.
You can have NB frisk. Just don’t get mad at someone who gives frisk and chara pronouns. They were fairly ambiguous so that the player could have them be whatever they want. Some people think frisk is a boy, some think frisk is a girl. some think frisk is NB. there is nothing wrong with either of them because that’s who frisk was designed.
“maybe we can talk about how with the internet there are more diagnoses of adhd now, and how the internet is rewiring our brains…”
“medicating childhood: the hoax of adhd”
literally all things ive seen in the past fucking WEEK let me out of this hell
i can debunk this all in a flash
adhd is a neurodevelopmental disorder, and develops around 12 years old. given that, and how many diagnosed adhd adults there are, including elders, this is something that predates the internet
adhd is genetic, so despite an attention given from parent to child, it’s incredibly likely that at least one of the parents or other relatives also has adhd
oh yes, and let’s not forget the myth that adhd symptoms are synonymous with child behavior. but adhd isn’t just hyperactivity - in fact, hyperactivity doesn’t always present itself. in addition to hyperactivity, other symptoms include:
echolalia
poor memory
racing/scattered thoughts
slowed social development (around 30%)
difficulty understanding tasks/organizing them into steps
struggles understanding time management
impulsive acts (impulsive spending is a major issue with many of us)
difficulty managing emotions, especially anger
easily bored (and boredom leads to greater frustration than others)
TROUBLE SLEEPING. many adhd people spend their entire lives not getting good sleep because of the constant “noise” in their heads. see the scattered thoughts. basically, the thoughts are always going. there is no shut off switch. insomnia is largely prevalent with adhd
losing details (like getting poor grades because you missed the fine print on a test even with knowing the material)
struggles with listening comprehension (words sound like nonsense)
struggles with reading comprehension (words look like nonsense)
memorization issues - a child skilled in math will have trouble with multiplication tables, for example
has trouble “waiting their turn” in conversation - frequently interrupts without realizing
hyperfocus - an often overlooked aspect, when one focuses to the exception of all other external stimuli, including needing to eat, sleep, etc. time almost ceases to exist
not a symptom, but adhd - especially adult adhd - is highly comorbid with anxiety disorders and depression later in life. this is because a person with adhd is working their heart out to achieve the same standards, contrary to the believe that they’re “lazy.” as you can see above, almost every aspect of daily life is impacted - social, work, school, family, money… and this can lead to a feeling of being unable to cope.
despite all that, people with adhd are also:
more solution-oriented
more resilient
more expressive
more curious
and better at multitasking - not just because of having to learn how to manage the other symptoms, but these are, in fact, also symptoms. you can imagine how useful hyperfocus can be as well.
i wrote all this because i really want people to understand me and understand how this all works. and i want misunderstandings to stop so people can respect who i am.
everybody is all “ I support people with mental illnesses” until these people start showing symptoms lmao
to elaborate, yeah people will understand the basic symptoms such as sadness and or being nervous but once someone starts having random fits of rage, inconsolable panic attacks, no energy or motivation to do shit, hallucinations, paranoia, mood swings, etc. everybody is suddenly like “woah what the fuck just stop…”
