So, my brother was on the news because he organized a Pokemon Go Clean Up where literally hundreds, if not thousands of people are getting together to clean up parks and streets for community service and play Pokemon Go together
You know how Amethyst got frustrated with how Peridot didn’t like herself as she is, because of what she CAN’T do and it lead to her yanking away the tablet?
And a lot of ppl are angry at that?
I get why! But uh, hear me out.
You know who else has spent the whole show hating herself, because she is smaller and less experienced and less battle ready than her companions? who used other things to make herself feel better in ultimately unhealthy ways? And who cares about Peridot?

Amethyst flipped out at Peri because 1) that’s how Ame processes her feelings, she’s brash and loud and reacts to things without thinking it through when she’s frustrated and 2) she wishes someone had given her this kind of pep talk earlier and yanked her out of her bad habits
Amethyst is not an example of a neurotypical person fucking with a mentally ill person, she’s a mentally ill person trying to help her mentally ill friend. And let me tell you from experience, sometimes that shit gets fucked.
Ame was still wrong for trying to throw away Peri’s tablet but it wasn’t as malicious as I’ve seen a lot of people take it.
