Oh my god. Literally SHUT THE FUCK UP. Some of us have anxiety SPECIFICALLY LINKED to timed exercises. I have had panic attacks because of games before. Hands shaking, irrational anger, wanting to throw up. Don’t you dare tell me I’m overreacting either, because there’s a reason why I hate timed things and why it causes anxiety. If we don’t like it, we have a right to complain.
We also need to stop judging people on how they enjoy a game.
Then go play Candy Crush or the Sims, gosh. The world’s not going to change itself to accommodate your mental illness, you are the one who has to get therapy and work on lessening those severe reactions to normal everyday things.
Yeah let’s just get rid of handicap spots in parking lots and those motorized scooters in grocery stores because if the world won’t accommodate things for mental illness, then why would it accommodate people with physical illnesses? Let’s just get rid of hospitals! They were the ones who got sick, they shouldn’t have gotten themselves into that situation. Mental illness is just as important to be aware of as physical illness. Get of your high horse and do some research please.
No. They are not saying get rid of easy games they are suggesting that we CHANGE a hard game because someone that cant handle it wants it easier. There are LOADS of games out there. Easy and hard. This person isnt fighting for “the existance of handicap parking spots,” he’s fighting for the elimination of non-handicap because “fuck everyone that wants a hard game I have anxiety and i want to play this hard game so make it easy.”

If timed missions give you anxiety and general challenge causes panic attacks, you shouldn’t be playing difficult games. Put your mental health above all else and play something more suited to it. Like viva pinata which is nice and relaxing and fun.
Timed Missions are still a thing? Usually those are saved for the big escape sequences, and give you tons of time to make it. One game I can think of that did that was Treasure Planet, and that was essentially a race along a death course at super high speeds and I remember as being really frustrating but super rewarding to beat.
Metroid fusion had a nice timed mission where you had to get from the bottom of the station to your ship and fight the metroid before the time ran out. it was intense and fun. Also, phantom pain has at least one timed mission but that’s a “complete as many objectives as you can before the time runs out” mission.
You know, too often I see people trying to dictate what is and isn’t appropriate in a subject they aren’t experienced in. Like old white guys trying to dictate what a woman can do with their body. Or a person who doesn’t play videogames or even understand what a story and character development is saying that a game is sexist or mindless violence. Or a bunch of cis people saying what is and isn’t offensive to the trans community. Or people who haven’t been abused saying what is and isn’t abuse.
Let people who actually know what the situation is like say their view. Don’t drown out the voices of people under the guise of speaking out for them. If a trans person says a guy wearing makeup isn’t offensive then shut up and listen to them.
I’m p sure in this situation the people traumatized should decide what’s considered abusive and not people who base their claims on fucking cartoon tropes but yknow. That’s just me.

Hypnotism is one of those things I love from a fantasy point of view.And I get why there are people who either don’t like it, or are indifferent. But in my opinion, Hypnotism is just amazing.
Not to mention that real life hypnotism can be pretty hot.

So I’ve been seeing a lot of negative posts lately about the so-called “SJWs” on tumblr - the term for the extremists who take their advocacy way too far
As someone who is a passionate advocate myself, even I agree that there are some blogs on this website that take it way too far. (And in doing so, they make their causes look bad.)
Many people are complaining that tumblr is turning people into these “SJWs” and that these extremists are all this blue website’s fault.
But here’s the thing…
Have you ever been on a college campus? Because let me tell you, there are a bunch of extremist people in the advocacy groups on my campus - people who want to fight for a good cause but do so in the wrong way.
The so-called “SJWs” aren’t just a “tumblr” thing.
And they didn’t just start popping up in the past year or so.
There have been people all throughout history who were fighting for what they believed to be a good cause but ended up taking it to the extreme.
So why is there such a large group of them on tumblr?
Because unlike most other social media websites, tumblr allows you to actually communicate with random strangers all around the world. 252 million to be precise. (Don’t think about that number too much; you’ll have an existential crisis like I did.) But the point is that most social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter have the option for you to talk to strangers around the world but everything is in your control. You get to choose who you’re friends with and/or follow. So, it’s safe to say that those websites act as a bubble - it’s just you and the ones that you see worthy enough to befriend/follow.
But tumblr’s a bit different. Because even though you have control over who you follow, you don’t have control over who your followers follow. Because of this, there’s actually a really cool community that’s formed. I won’t get into the specifics but if somebody wants to look at the dynamics of this website, it’s pretty fascinating. But anyway, back to the community analogy. That’s just it - it’s a community. Filled with all sorts of different people with all sorts of personalities and all sorts of opinions.
This means that you’re going to see groups that you’ve never witnessed before - including extremist groups.
But I can assure you that these groups have always existed, and will always exist, regardless of this big, blue, addicing, website.
Seriously if you don’t think that history is filled with a bunch of radical people who push their advocacy too far then man do I have a great story about a little thing called The French Revolution (specifically The Reign of Terror!)
ALRIGHT alright so here’s the thing that’s been bugging me for MONTHS now, and I’m talking pre-Stevenbomb 1.0. In the episode Marble Madness, when the Gems and Steven break into Peridot’s hideout beneath the Kindergarten (Facet Five), Peridot learns for the very first time that there are still Gems present on Earth.
She’s legitimately surprised because “the Red Eye” didn’t detect them. You know… THIS THING??
This comes all the way from the second episode of the series, Laser Light Cannon. But this little bit of dialogue made it clear to all of us that the Red Eye was actually sent here by Homeworld, to monitor the planet and ensure that it was safe for them to invade uninterrupted so that they could continue their work.
SO HERE’S MY PROBLEM.
HOW in the FRESH HELL was the Red Eye unable to detect ANY kind of Gem presence when the Gems’ first solution to trying take it out was to do… THIS??
Because it was destroyed before it had a chance to send out a signal. I mean, the fact that it’s destruction didn’t alert homeworld that something was up means that it was probably meant to be destroyed after sending a signal. Either that or Yellow diamond was feeding false information to peridot and the whole “leave peridot stranded because the gem clusters are very illegal” theory holds more water.
