Well it started with this one post on my dash saying what is and isn’t toxic and at the very end of not problematic was otherkin. Now you can’t say an entire group of people is entirely unproblematic because every group of people has some problematic people in it. So I added that there ARE some problematic otherkin; the otherkin who claim kin with someone elses coping character. Then this person comes in and says that nobody does that and that I’m condemning all otherkin despite me having stated that its just the otherkin who claim kin with coping characters.
Then they accuse me of using a scenario that never happens and asked me if I’m schizophrenic or otherkin and that if I’m not I have no say. I pointed them towards the schizophrenic I follow that actually DID have people claim to be kin with the character they created to cope with their hilucinations and then they tried to pull the “no, I was agreeing with you the entire time” and “the kin who do that aren’t real kin” fallacies (hindsight bias and no true scotsman respectively)
Basically they overgeneralized something I said and refused to admit they made a mistake.
