Growing up in the 80s and early 90s really made quicksand a thing to be feared.
ok but like real talk WHY did we ALL learn that quicksand was terrifying???
it was like, the only plot device ever used. forest? quick sand. swamp? quick muck. desert? quick sand. despite the lack of water. temple? quick sand booby trap.
I loved the episode on Mythbusters where they did quicksand. The one guy’s floating in it like half way sunk, and the other shoves him in further and he just bobs back up to the surface.
here’s what happens when you tell an artist that their design looks like another character design:
-if it’s a character they know, they will feel ashamed and worried that they subconsciously ripped off the design. they will not want to draw that design anymore
-if it’s a character they don’t know, they will become fearful that other people who don’t know them are going to look at their design and think that they ripped it off anyway and they will not want to draw that design anymore
-it’s not a compliment
-it just makes us feel bad
-stop
never tell someone their OCs/Original universes remind you of something else! it makes the artist/writer think they are subconsciously stealing from that character/universe and will stop completely! it blocks their creativity and lowers their self esteem on being original!
PLEASE , DO NOT DO THIS. IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS, IT MAKES THE ARTIST/WRITER FEEL BAD.
shaving a nipple off really freaking hurts and I hope I never have to go through this again
as one of my fellow Croatian mutuals reminded me, in Croatian the word for warts and nipples is the same and in English it isn’t SO WHAT I WAS ACTUALLY TRYING TO SAY IS THAT I HAD A LITTLE MOLE/WART ON MY ARMPIT FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS AND TODAY I ACCIDENTALLY SHAVED IT OFF AND IT HURT LIKE HELL, BUT I DID NOT IN ANY WAY SHAVE OFF ONE OF MY CHEST NIPPLES
