silver-tongues-blog asked: I never understood why people care so much whether a person is good at a game or not or what their skill level is compared to another person. You're not comparing yourself to them and you're not taking the things seriously. You're just having fun.

I only take things seriously when someone intends to be mean and call them or on it or turn their words on them. Trash talking is one thing for being competitive, but there’s a point when the person becomes an asshole.

Really, as much fun as competition can be, sometimes I just want to enjoy the game in however I respond. Is that too much to ask?

However! just because you want to have fun doesn’t mean you have to ruin the experience for others, everyone wants to win, and yes, they will take the winning desire to a extreme, and that gets them annoyed when a Less Skilled player wants to mess up their team or troll around just because “They want to have fun”.

I know, we’ve paid money to have fun in the games, but the freedom you have is pretty much restricted to where the freedom of someone else starts, you don’t want to jump into a place where everyone is taking the competence seriously and ruin THEIR fun by just messing around, there’s having fun and there’s disrupting agame because You matter the most.

Take that as you will, I play games to have fun and to win, I play competitively and I hate it when people SUCK and ARENT WILLING TO IMPROVE, that’s my take on games, is it too much to ask to enjoy a game however you want? Yes, because the fun you have can or cannot be the fun others have.

Now go and get confused if I’m whether or not suppporting your argument.

That’s why I save the competition for multiplayer games. What I meant was enjoying games how I want and that pertains to often single player games where sometimes I get someone telling me something demotivating when I stream it. I’m not playing a game for fun, only to be demotivated.

Also, people like markiplier and the game grumps play multiplayer games with friends they actually know and know just want to have fun. they won’t take it seriously because it’s supposed to be for shits and giggles.
