I did the math and the cost of the bail-out for the banks could have also given every man, woman and child in the US about $4500 each to weather the quarantine and help with medical costs. It would have put that money into circulation in the economy instead of into bankers’ off-shore accounts. I don’t want to hear “pie in the sky” or “where are we going to get the money” for any political policies to help people ever again.
It honestly stuns me that people can’t see through the really slimy and obvious pivot Biden did when he was questioned on how his policies would protect violence against women. He didn’t even answer the question. He jusy said he’d have a female VP and a female supreme court justice. That does nothing to actually address violence against women or materially change the lives of women in this country. It’s just lipservice that takes next to zero effort on his part
