You know, with all the language throughout Star Wars about “giving in” to the Dark Side, how the Dark Side makes you more powerful, how the Dark Side makes you age strangely and destroys you, it sure doesn’t sound like an “opposite side of the coin” so much as the “deeper end of the pool,” like it’s actually the true form of the force and being a Jedi is about keeping it tamed so it doesn’t eat you the way it actually wants.

This is one of the reasons i love the second Knights of the Old Republic game, wherein one of the major characters (who defines herself neither as Jedi nor Sith) actually views the Force this way, saying “I hate the Force. I hate that it seems to have a will, that it would control us to achieve some measure of balance, when countless lives are lost.”
It’s also the game that gave us the two most entropic, eldritch characters in the franchise: Darth Nihilus, whose dark-side-borne ability to feed on the Force and consume life itself has twisted him into a half-living “wound in the Force”, more presence than flesh
and Darth Sion, whose entire body is a ruin, his flesh nothing but ragged scar tissue, every bone and muscle broken and torn, kept animated by will alone as he forces himself, second by agonizing second, to exist
I wish there were more horrifying perspectives on the force like that
iamyourdoubt asked: I felt your prices were appropriate for the quality of composition you provided. Especially with some of the pieces that it seemed like you put a lot of time and love into.
Well, I’m adjusting my prices because one of the issues that comes up a lot is that they just aren’t selling. I’ve heard a lot more silence when I bring up the price.
I mean, I don’t really advertise my commissions like I should, but it’s clear that after only 4 commissions since I changed the price, that I might need to adjust.
That’s because people are cheap assholes who don’t wanna shell out a little money for quality art and then complain or try to coerce you some other way like trying to tell you that you should pay them or try and pay you only 25 cents or some shit.

you know how kidz bop is basically made for parents who are super conservative and squeamish about cusses and sexual themes? what if the people making it were like… from that demographic? like im just imagining a bunch of suitmen at a table fidgeting like “so…. “funk you up” isn’t a cuss, BU-… bu-but… we should still change it because, um, y’know, it sounds too much like… *loosens tie* y’know…”
When I was growing up any time my brother upset/hurt/was rude to or downright nasty to me I was told “he’s just doing it to get a rise out of you” “he’s just doing it to annoy you”
Like??? I know?? I know he’s being mean to upset me. I know he’s saying horrible stuff to annoy me. And guess what?? I’m annoyed!!!!
I was literally told not to be upset, because his intentions were to upset me????
How is that not upsetting? Especially to a young girl??
