realizing Steven’s birthday is also the anniversary of Rose’s death
Okay but
No not exactly. It never said the next avatar is born the moment the previous dies.
Actually they did. Avatar Roku said it. He was telling the story of how he could have prevented Firelord Sozen from starting the war. His island was exploding and he was sprayed in the face with toxic gas. He was dying and his dragon curled up next to him as the ash piled on top of him. Then the shot panned and you switches to Avatar Aang being born at the same night if not the exact moment of Avatar Rokus death.
So at the very least, the avatar is born the same day but it’s most likely the exact moment.
can you guys imagine what it would be like if James and Lily had never been killed and Harry wasn’t the chosen one but he still got himself into random crazy shennanigans with Ron and Hermoine anyways
“James, our son flew a car to Hogwarts and crashed it”
“That sounds wicked"
"nO JAMES”
actually, if this happened, nevil would be the chosen one. so dobby would have closed the wall on him. harry ron and hermione would be on the train and nevil would find some other way to hogwarts with whatever friends he made. Also, snape would still be a death eater and wouldn’t work at hogwarts so the potions master would probably be someone like slughorn who would spill all the beans by the third book. Also, Sirius wouldn’t have been arrested and peter wouldn’t have betrayed them so the marauders would still be a group and that would have been really cool. like.
Sirius: Don’t tell lily or james but I’ve made another map of hogwarts that can help you and your friends out.
First off, spoilers for the Steven Universe episodes The Return and Jailbreak.
I’m sure a lot of us were surprised to find that Garnet is a fusion. It makes total sense in hindsight, but the writers were able to keep it secret from us due to making her look nothing like what we were told a fusion looks like.
Non-fused Gems are humanoid, but the various fusions of the Crystal Gems all have multiple limbs.
But not all fusions look like that, right?
I had assumed that Stevonnie’s less freaky-looking fusion was due to the fact that half of the fusion was human. Maybe multiple limbs only occurs through Gem-Gem fusions? The concept of a Human-Gem fusion was hyped up as something that’s never happened before: Of course Stevonnie would be an exception to the rule.
But then there’s Garnet.
What’s notable about Ruby and Sapphire’s relationship? What’s the one thing that was emphasized in the short time the episode had to introduce the two characters?
Their love for each other.
Knowing that, what’s the significance of this simple scene that was originally played for laughs?
Garnet was the only one of the three who understood: Steven and Connie are perfect for each other. Not only that, they’re more of a perfect match than Ruby and Sapphire.
Remember: Garnet has three eyes. I believe this is a character trait that’s meant to show us that, like most relationships, Ruby’s and Sapphire’s isn’t perfect, but like any good couple they work through it because they’re worth it. Still, the fact that they’re 99% in sync with one another is nothing to scoff at.
tl;dr, A fusion’s shape indicates the health of the relationships of the Gems involved— the more humanoid, the more in sync they are with each other.
The way your hair was done really shows the shape of your head and your forhead is just the right size and your nose is a shape that flows well your oval head. The glasses cut the face into portions to make looking at certain aspects easier while also having your eyes be the main focus.
Things I’d love to happen: Amethyst giving Sadie a little pep talk about self-confidence and asserting yourself.
I know Amethyst was pretty apathetic in Joking Victim, but I imagine she might do this if Steven talked with her about it.
There is a repost of this piece floating around tumblr with 10k notes and counting that I did not approve of. If you see it, please do not reblog it, this is the original.
