Nothing turns me off more than somebody telling me “You’re my only friend.”
Because guess what, I don’t want or need that pressure. I don’twant to be your only friend. I don’twant to be your sole human contact.
Because it makes me feel guilty as hell, and puts on the expectation that I need to be there to comfort you 24/7. I can’t, and I don’t want to.
Find other friends.
I’m not going to be your only friend.
As someone on the other side who usually only has one friend, this hurts. We are already self conscious enough. This comes off as feeling like “make more friends or I’m leaving. I’m not your bff” There’s usually a reason we only have one friend and that’s usually because it’s so hard to make them. If it makes you uncomfortable then introduce us to some of your other friends. Invite us to group hangouts. Let us feel welcome.
You’re assuming the person who is saying that to me is a friend. No, they aren’t. 99.99% of the time, they are an acquaintance. Somebody I know, and have spoken with briefly. They are not a friend. I would not have them over at my house and sharing drinks. I would not tell them my secrets, etc.
When somebody goes up to me, when I’ve probably talked to them for 10 minutes in total, and tells me I’m their only friend in the whole world… That’s uncomfortable. VERY uncomfortable.

Can someone draw a comic of this?
You know what the worst thing about he finebros is?
It’s that they act like they own something that has been established long before they came along. Like, you can’t trademark a general concept that you didn’t create. You may have your own interpretation but just because someone has the barest skeleton of the concept doesn’t mean that they’re copying you. The finebros formula is people sitting in front of the computer and laughing at a video. That’s as bare as you can get. You can’t exactly sue people for doing the same because that’s been done for a long ass time, since before they came along. If someone used their logo and attached the name finebros to something that isn’t finebros then I could understand but trying to copyright the barest general concept is what really makes them pretentious twats.
