I think the reason progressives are all doom and gloom over this despite this not being a bad result all things considered is that just a week ago we were predicting that Bernie would win all but maybe three states in the primary.
But then the opposition to Bernie got smart, they put all their eggs in one basket at the last minute and that gamble paid off. They went from getting their asses handed to them right back to a position of dominance in about three days.
And now instead of the triumphant march where Bernie gets to win constantly we face a long war of attrition against an opponent with the full weight of the media and party establishment on his side, who represents the half of the democratic party that is stuck in the Reagan era neoliberal mindset.

whenever a tv network or streaming service complains about ppl watching their stuff illegally i’m always like, you know if you did manage to shut down all the pirate sites it wouldn’t make ppl go pay for your service, it’d prob just mean they wouldn’t watch your stuff in the first place?
like, it’s not “ pirate, else pay to watch” it’s “pirate, else don’t watch at all” in a lot of cases, so like… you ain’t even losing those ~potential customers~ bc they’re. not.
