Toby Fox has explicitly stated on multiple occasions that he doesn’t want anyone selling merch that isn’t official and by him, and none of those are by him. Only merch from Fangamer is allowed because it is his merchandise.

And he’s said several other times that he doesn’t support unofficial Undertale merch. He has said that he is okay with unofficial Undertale comissions, but not mass produced merchandise like what’s on Amazon
I am all in support of Toby Fox but…
Really he is only selling like 5 different things on the official merch page. People are so thirsty for Undertale merchandise and he is shouting about how people dare to buy anything other than a plush, some stickers, one poster, and two T-shirts. He has made easily a couple million dollars from this game already, even after Steam’s cuts. If he is so bent out of shape that people want other merchandise why isn’t he expanding his product line or even contracting with a company to make some mass-produced merch? He’s got the money now, he could be fucking RAKING IN PROFITS if he would just offer people what they want to buy.
He can’t honestly expect that no one is going to be making and buying fan merchandise with the pathetic selection he has available? If he wants people to buy exclusively from him he should actually have some shit for sale??? Hundreds of thousands of copies of the game have been downloaded and people are clamoring to buy merchandise and his supply is beyond skimpy.
I love the game and I want him to do well, but he is just not being realistic. He really expects no one to have anything Undertale related other than the few things he is selling? Come now.
I know I’m being kindof an asshole about this but his expectations are beyond unrealistic.

I’m sorry that his wishes are being violated; I really am, but the people have a right to merch! Yes, I’m selfish and entitled! But you should always do what makes the most amount of people happy, so if enough of us band together, we will become the greater good!
You know that selling fanart, commisions, and fanart-based patreons are also illegal by all means too, right? but no one every complain about it, in fact, most like to jump to defend their favourite artist whine about people ranting about them selling their derivative works or when they rant about it being stolen. So why is Undertale different? because he is the small artist? well; so are the artist selling this merch (much smaller in fact), so they should also be protected, innit?

None of us have called you names or threatened you specifically in these posts from what I’ve seen…
Yet you think it’s okay to say we all deserve to be SKINNED for basically just pointing out that the game creator said “No”. On top of that, you insulted our intelligence by calling us ‘dumb’ for pointing out a fact.
I don’t see anyone saying you should be skinned for buying unofficial bootleg/illegal merchandise. If anything, the problem is that those people selling that merch need to be reported, not supported.
Do not give them money. Do not support theft.

Here is a solution: Go to walmart. Buy a t-shirt or a hoodie.
Go to Micheal’s craft store.
Buy a t-shirt transfer.
Print an Undertale image.
Congrats, you now have your very own Undertale shirt that not only costs less, but isn’t illegal, supports the game you love by showing it off, and it was your own creation.

Can I put my input? What I’m seeing here is entitled assholes thinking that just because they bought a game that they deserve merch right then and there. They need to be patient because there’s a lot of politics behind getting official merch available for sale. They need to stop being so selfish and impatient. They are the kind of people that retail workers complain about.
