why don’t wizards on trial have the option to consent to veritaserum? like I get that it’s illegal to force it on someone and that’s cool, but why not have it as an option for people who are testifying that they’re innocent? like wouldn’t that just make sense? you have a potion that can prove 100% if someone’s telling the truth, but instead of using it you just lock innocent people in soul-sucking prison forever? would it just make wizard court tv too boring if half the cases were solved in like two minutes?

one family i know. The couple have been together for a long time and had 4 kids the oldest in highschool the youngest in preschool. they lost there jobs and can’t even afford to hold on to a small house that they need and they can’t find new jobs the father is looking for anything he’s even ready to work two or three jobs to support his family…
another family where the father isn’t around and the mother has to take care of 3 kids on her own in a cramped apartment…
another family where both parents are taking care of three children with autism the eldest is 11 or 12 and has gotten NO help from the government immagine the young twins that are almost 2 who seem to have it worse then there older brother. They need help from the government with money to get good help for the 3 kids before its too late
all these people got looked over for rats
and in truth adults learn something it might hurt but when we can afford pets we have to give them up or put them to sleep. I know…its not the solution you wanted but it the solution that adults have to do. after then when you don’t have the pet expenses you can be able to focus on things like getting a stable home and maybe later when you’re more able you can try again
not all of us got to keep our babies..i use to have a dog named Buddy. my best friend in the world. i’d come home to see him happy to see me, he protected me, made me feel safe and loved and needed…but one day my mother came and told me there was no money for a stupid dog…i had to give him up or put him to sleep…i couldn’t have him killed…so my mother gave him to this fat old lady and her husband while i was at school…he didn’t love them like he loved me…she wasn’t right with him one day Buddy bit the bitch for trying to take away the toy i left for him and bit her…she brought him to the vet and killed him for it. only told me when i say her at a garage sale i was working at

That’s because I was the one who responded first and he found out from my post. I’ve repeatedly been the first to respond, despite drama.
I’ve tried to be helpful, but if you’re following up an apology by calling him toxic, you really need to look in the mirror and ask yourself if doing that is right.
Otherwise, the cycle of “sorry” followed by, “why aren’t you helping me?” or “you sure it’s not you?” or “you aren’t going to help me after all?” will ultimately hurt you perpetually because that is abusive. We help as much as we can, but you essentially bit that fed you.
If you apologized and get mad when people don’t accept you apology, then you apologized to shut people up rather than out of genuine remorse and that makes you still an asshole.
