What I mean on that is that I would spend hours working on an update of fairly decent quality and it wouldn’t get notes. Nobody was paying attention to my art despite people following it. I started losing all motivation because there was no point if nobody was gonna look at it and eventually closed all my pony blogs leaving me with only my personal blog.
I’m not an isolated case. I have seen many blogs with great art that only has like 1 or 2 notes each and hasn’t updated in months or even a year and I’m pretty sure they felt the same way. It sucks because artists will put their heart into these pictures only for them to be ignored.
You see it in every fandom and every community. Someone will hate someone else or a lot of people will hate one person and when I ask why they can only give me examples from months or years ago. When I ask how long they plan to hold a grudge they get mad at me and call me a white knight.
Isn’t ‘Love and Tolerance’ supposed to be the corner stone of the fandom? I just dont understand how people can just hold on to their anger at someone for YEARS over the most trivial reasons.
The main person I hold a grudge against insulted me when I came out as trans and continued to misgender me until she was removed from all the groups we were in and got blocked by all of us. She was also and still is homophobic as well. So yeah, people are allowed to hold grudges.
LIke, seriously. It sounds like OP did something bad to someone and doesn’t want to change to make things better or admit that they might have been in the wrong.
