Oh big naw on Booette; Bowsette was fascinating to me specifically because at some point, Bowser was once mentioned to have a sister, and Bowsette could fit that role rather well. Weeeelllll that and I love me a literal monster woman. B)
But the actual concept of the crown holds no interest to me so it’s entirely omitted from my headcanon/AU. That also means Toadette cannot transform into a clone of Peach.
As for Boos in general, I’ve actually talked about them! I can’t find the post exactly but as a quick recap: A Boo is what happens when a Mortal dies. All mortals become a Boo! They’re under the leadership of King Boo and share their space with other “second-lived” beings, such as Shy Guys and Dry Bones in Gravestone Kingdom. In a related note, Evershade Valley/Evershade Mansion (aka Luigi’s mansion) is essentially a state of Limbo, where all Boos go for what’s essentially processing before they’re given citizenship and a place of residence in the actual kingdom itself.
Aaaand Chain Chomps are just animals. Huge, strange animals that look like a cross between a… well, a ball and chain and a piranha with all those teeth. They’re generally too wild and unpredictable to tame and are very dangerous, so they’re best avoided.

Bowsette’s a rockstar! Kind of. >.>
For context: Bowsette, being the baby sister of Bowser, is the crown princess of Koopa Kingdom. However, she has very little to no say in how the kingdom is run, and Jr’s birth further solidified that. But that’s of her own volition: Bowser did ask and offer several times to share his power as monarch with her, run the kingdom as a sibling duo sort of deal, but she refused, and refuses every time he offers still. Bowsette adores her country, loves her people, but she does not want the responsibility of their wellbeings on her.
SO! The moment she was 16, she packed up, grabbed her friends, and began touring the world with hopes of going big in the music scene. Specifically as hard-rock stars.
In fact, and this is a little funny given my previous statement about Booette… which I’m now retconning because I think I know exactly how I want Bowsette’s band to work. HEAR ME OUT.
The Rockettes!
An all female band consisting of Bowsette as vocalist/lead guitarist, Booette as bassit and backup-vocals, and Chompette as the drummer. Goombette, while not fulfilling any of the musical roles, fills multiple roles which includes being the roadie, the manager (in just about every facet including monetary and schedule keeping), the merch designer, and the occasional keyboardist should the songs ever need them.
They’re HIP! They’re HOT! They’re…. still hopping gig to gig and have yet to really breach the rock scene with a big breakout. The girls have made a bit of leeway recently but it’s still tough going, and it can be a little disheartening. but they’re gonna make it, damn it, they’ll carry the band to fame on their backs if they have to!
Aaaaand now I gotta design the girls since the crown still doesn’t exist in the headcanon haha :D

I love getting unaccompanied minors (kids flying alone) who so clearly just. Don’t want to be here lol. Sometimes I get to know a little of their story, like their parents are divorced, or a family member died and they’re heading to the funeral, but usually they just don’t want to talk about it and that’s fine. But I always treat the flight like it’s a challenge to make them smile. I offer them snacks and soda but that’s never enough, that’s whatever, they could get those from an airport vending machine. Chump change. So then I tell the worst jokes. Just the most embarrassing, kindergarten teacher, annoying dad jokes you can think of. And those always get a groan, or a “Seriously??” And that’s my in! Now I can say “Why, what’s your idea of a good joke? No, come on hotshot, make your best joke, let’s see it.” And they hem and they haw but of course they eventually tell me their very best joke because kids are little competitive comedy goldmines. And it’s always super funny, so I laugh, and that’s where they slip up. Because you know what you almost always do when your joke successfully makes someone laugh? You smile. And I’m like. Gotcha. Rookie move. Now you’re going to end up having a good time in spite of yourself. I win.
Did this with an 11yo u.m. today and he said “What did the ghost say to the other ghost?” And I said “What?” “Nothing. Ghosts aren’t real.”
