I just realized something after rewatching episodes
On “Story for Steven“ we can see how when Greg falls, Rose goes to pick him up by jumping and hovering in the air for a bit
now, on “Rose´s Scabbard”, when Steven go after Pearl, he jumps to go to that floating rock where Pearl was
At first I thoght it was something time slow related, but after seeing how Pearl and Steven react, that´s when it got me:
Their reactions are completely normal, not being slowed or anything like that, you can see this more clearly in Steven´s face:
- How he blinks
- Steven´s hair
- how his face changes in general, you can see how Steven loses his focus.
Steven didn´t fell beacuse he didn´t jump high enough, he fell because that face Pearl did to him broke his concentration!!!.
He can hover in the air while jumping just like his mother!
