youve prescribed this HORRIBLE STIGMA to being specifically attracted - sexually or romantically - to the opposite gender, which has pushed the asexuals and aromantics out of spaces that THEY SHOULD FEEL SAFE IN
there is a fucking reason there is an A in the acronym and it isn’t for allies - months ago, we were still fighting for that simple truth. today? we’re forcing asexuals and aromantics out of safe spaces because they have “straight privilege”
the reason these new terms have been invented is because we’re excluding people who should inherently be in these spaces because they’re in the FUCKING ACRONYM, and they feel they have to distance themselves from the “STRAIGHTS” because we’ve put such a goddamn negative stigma to that
asexuals and aromantics do not experience the same sort of oppression as gay people, bi people, pan people, and so on. but, here’s something to think about too:
bi people and gay people do not experience the same form of oppression
bi people and trans people do not experience the same form of oppression.
just because ace and aro people don’t experience the GAY OPPRESSION, they experience an oppression unique to them - and you can’t even say that the oppression an asexual person experiences is the same to an aromantic persons.
they are dehumanized, they are attacked, they are OPPRESSED.
and it is fucking disgusting that we have contributed to this oppression when we’re all supposed to be on the same side.
The LGBTA community in general is toxic to anyone who isn’t lesbian, gay or a trans in a opposite gender relationship.
the LGBT community only cares about the L and the G but only if they are hetero because according to them, a trans person in a same sex relationship has “straight privilages” because people within the community tend to look at their relationships before their gender. Seriously, if you exclude anything other than the L and the G then fuck you because you’re just as toxic as the all the other shitty people.

Not every single issue anyone ever has with you is solely due to transphobia/homophobia.

Reminds me of the Key and Peele skit where a flamboyant gay guy thinks his coworker is homophobic because they don’t get along.
He then finds out his coworker is also gay and realizes that he wasn’t being marginalized, he was just being an asshole.
