Yes, I don’t deny their problems, but when you sit down and REALLY think about it, the themes are really deep and amazing.
Like Anakin’s fall. His fall to the darkside was born out of guilt. Obi-Wan kept building Anakin up as a chosen one who would change the fate of the universe. But, Anakin more of less had a great number of failures. He failed to protect his mother. He failed his control his anger. He failed to kill Dooku, which led to the big war. His failures dragged him down, because he thought he was better than failure. When he believed Padme would die in childbirth, he realized the Jedi could not help him. Palpatine offered Anakin an out. A way to save Padme and avoid being a failure to the person who loved him most.
If anything, I just wish it was a tad more obvious, and a few more scenes had been dedicated to Anakin’s inability to stand failure.
I agree. And one thing people seem to forget is that the prequels were supposed to be campy like the original trilogy. The plot while amazing is supposed to be over the top. But one thing I absolutely hate is when people shit on hayden christensens acting. He was an amazing actor save for the dialogue but in his defense all the dialogue was terrible. The only one who could speak well was ewan mcgregor. And if you watch the original trilogy, you will see that the dialogue wasn’t that great either. I think that one main problem people have with the prequels is that it was made in a time that people expected it to be more impressive looking or maybe they just shit on the prequels because they are prequels. I don’t know, but are the prequels really as bad as people say? I don’t think they are.

Anonymous asked: And now a character I give a shit about
?
I have no clue which character you’re talking about
More unapologetically asshole female characters who are not warm or nurturing and are not expected to be, but their friends love them anyway, please.
‘Cause if you’re going to give me countless asshole male characters with little to no warmth for others and they still get friends, you better give me girls like that too.
