I remember in year 2 there was a girl who had literally never had a haircut so her hair was ridiculously long [imagine Rapunzel basically] and she always complained about it but her mum wouldn’t let her get it cut
So one day at recess she put an entire pack of chewed gum in her hair at the exact length she wanted it cut to.
She came in the next day with her hair cut how she wanted it and a smug grin on her face and I knew that that girl was going places.
He didn’t let the pup fall the first time, and so the pup did not hesitate to trust the second time. I love this.
this is way too cute
One of my rats act like this. Thor. He gets super fussy if I try to pick him up. But if I just wait by the cage he’ll hop onto my leg all by himself. Then he goes back and forth between me and the cage.
I also think my other rat, Loki, knows I’m a bit over protective because I caught him whenever he’d try to climb up something and fall off. So now he’s a little cocky like “Pfft, Dad will catch me.”

“By submitting your design on the ASOS Tumblr page, you automatically assign all rights in your design to us and you give us and any of our associated suppliers a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence for a term of 3 years to use your image (including comments you submit in connection with any image) on product to sell on the ASOS website(s) and to display the design in any and all media (including, without limitation, on our social media channels, websites and tangible media) without accreditation or notification. If you would like us to remove the design after the end of the term of this licence, our duty to do so will be limited to those channels still reasonably under our control.”
AS CONTESTANTS DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS? IT MEANS IN THE EVENT THAT YOU DON’T WIN THEY CAN STILL USE AND MAKE PROFIT OFF YOU. YOUR ART IS THEIRS AND THEY DON’T HAVE TO PAY YOU A CENT.
BECAUSE YOU AREN’T WORTH A PAYCHECK.
Say “NO” to contests like these. Take back your worth.
I went to read the tags hoping it all would be against the contest, but there’s still people considering doing it or asking artists and friends to do it. So I feel it’s still really important to share. Don’t do it!
assign all rights in your design to us: we get to do anything we want with any part of any of your work and you don’t.
any of our associated suppliers: anyone we want to let do anything they want with any part of any of your work gets to too.
royalty free: you’re not going to be paid anything no matter what we slap your design on or how much cash it makes us.
without accreditation or notification: we don’t have to tell anyone that you were the guy who drew the art. hell, we’re not even going to tell you what your art’s used on or in.
if you would like us to remove the design after the end of the term of this licence, our duty to do so will be limited to those channels still reasonably under our control: even when the art is technically ‘yours’ again we’re not going to give half a flying fuck over removing your art from anywhere that’d actually take us any effort.
kids: this is the artistic equivalent of getting in the back of an unmarked van because some guy told you there’d be candy inside
you are going to get SO FUCKED
look at this company trying to be so hipster about exploiting youth
please don’t do this holy shit, don’t give this company anything, your art is worth more than this, which is nothing. they are giving you nothing in return for your work. artists don’t need to undervalue themselves any more than they already do. please do not do this
