It was during 7th period and we were all evacuated out onto the football field and were herded into the stands. Everyone assumed that it was a bomb threat because they made us leave building by building.
Needless to say there were cops with weapons and all that junk.
Intimidating day.
A couple years ago when I was a sophmore I think. Maybe junior. Someone had called in a bomb threat during testing.
“VALVE IS ALLOWING PEOPLE TO MONETIZE MODS IN THE WORKSHOP, WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKING MONEY-GREEDY-”
Oh my GOD shut up
Again with the fucking “Money is bad” crowd who for some reason fear the green pieces of paper in their pocket like it’s fucking AIDS
The creators of the mods get 25% of the profits for the mod sales, Valve gets 75% of the cut.
Considering the enormous size of Steam, this means digital distribution of monetized mods for games will result in mod creators making thousands if not millions of dollars off their work, while Valve will be making three times that and will be able to grow more as a company and further expand and come up with more ideas to help independent content creators get paid for the content that they create.
They did this with Steam in the first place
They did this with Greenlight
They did this with Early Access
They did this with TF2 and Dota 2 cash-shop items made by the players
And now they’re doing this with Mods in the Steam Workshop
Valve has been trying to ensure that content creators are paid for their work and have been doing a phenomenal job of it, now quit thinking money is bad.
Seriously you guys are as annoying as the “Having a sexuality or being attracted sexually to a person or thing is bad” crowd.
money is not the problem. Money is not why the economy sucks. spending money does not make you bad. earning money for your work does not make you bad.
the economy is shit. let people get money for what they work hard on. The middle class needs it.
