Ahhh I hated this. The same goes for trying to read a book in the car. Once it got dark, long car rides were the worst.

My parents never allowed me to get those little add-on lights because they said it was bad for my eyes.

Trying to strain yourself reading in the dark is arguably worse for your eyes…

this is why having a sega game gear made me feel cooler B)

(at least until no one gave a fuck about sega anymore and pokemon came out)

imagine having the wormlight so you can see… but it drains your batteries fast. and you have no remaining AA batteries

You always had to have a baggie of batteries along with that nyko worm light.. i remember when i first got the gameboy i used a flash light a lot to illuminate the screen..

I used to use glow Sticks and nightlights
