And there’d be nothing to stop the victims’ revenge, but all of this is assuming things would be allowed to go to the extreme before transition into something new.
I’m saying that we can’t just shut down the government to restart. We need a slow transition, not a big restart.
Well the government’s been shut down more than once and a slow transition hardly helps since no politician likes change.
Okay, the federal government shut downs are basically just them refusing to agree and being little babies. I’m talking about actually ripping out the system. That would create chaos. And slow transitions can work. We should accept them. People may not be willing to accept it, but if no one’s gonna fight tax increases, then no one should fight reducing legislation meetings to once every two years instead of practically every other day.
Then doesn’t that mean even less gets done?
Think about it. Then, they only have enough time to do things that actually matter, and don’t waste time passing pointless laws, or stupid laws that hurt the American people in the long run. And they’d be much more careful about it, because if they pass something that they can’t fix for two years, then they’re out of their seats at the next election since they screwed their people over. They’ll actually have to consider the long term consequences rather than just the immediate benefits, something that many legislators don’t really think about.
That is HIGHLY inefficient. You’re essentially saying “No anti-rape law this year or anything else that needed to be fixed? Sorry! You have to wait two years and hope you’re okay!”
If they can’t get anything done now for things that are supposed to be long term anyways, YOU’RE GIVING LEGISLATORS A TWO YEAR VACATION EACH TIME IN BETWEEN WHERE THEY’LL MAKE SIX FIGURES A YEAR, DOING EVEN MORE OF NOTHING.
GET THE GOD DAMNED PEOPLE SOME POWER IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE ANYTHING BECAUSE THIS GOVERNMENT HAS ONLY DONE SO MUCH GOOD.
Here’s some history, the 2nd amendment is the right to bear arms against a corrupt government, but we still have murderers on the loose exploiting that. BUT WAIT, isn’t war murder anyways?

What we should do is have more major parties. have like 12 major parties. that way nobody in congress will have the power to shoot down every proposition that the president presents.

Not only is it true, it gets worse. The Susan G Komen For The Cure Foundation has actually successfully sued “competing” charities, because (paraphrasing) their “message or branding was infringing.”
You read that correctly: they took money that people had donated to cure cancer, and hired attorneys with it, to sue ANOTHER group of people trying to find a cure for cancer, who, in turn, had to us their donated money to hire their own legal counsel to defend themselves.
