Really? Because I’ve been around tens of thousands of them at conventions and I have a HUGE circle of friends and colleagues reaching in the hundreds who are upstanding level-headed individuals who are brimming with creativity.
Ever think maybe, just maybe, you’re perceiving the bad as bigger than it is, as is human nature to do?
You know who winds up being assholes to me? Anti-bronies. I’ve been shamed by anti-bronies not only for enjoying the show, but for associating with bronies. On top of that, I’ve had a lot of transphobia from them as well. Because I’m a transman who likes ponies. They think that’s just the worst thing ever.
I don’t call myself a brony. But I still hang with people who are, and they have amazing talent and amazing personalities and I’m sick and tired of people acting like these folks don’t exist because all it takes is one guy fucking up for people to label the ENTIRE fandom.
One guy does something stupid and suddenly “All bronies are scum” becomes the topic of the day.
It happens over and over.
and over and over all the people who clearly are meant to be louder, the artists, the creaters, all those rad songs, artwork, the animations, projects, games… Are ignored.
