are people just actively hunting for asshole bronies or what because I’m having a really hard time seeing anything different from any other fandoms in terms of entitled assholes vs nice people enjoying something
They are just generalizing based on a minorit and blaming artists who were probably payed to draw the porn rather than irresponsible parents. Also, they are having trouble distinguishing the difference between a real brony and a troll acting like a “brony”
a bunch of fans of a kid’s show freaking out over fans of a kid’s show liking their show
because they’re all gross for liking a kid’s show
-eats popcorn-
no
the problem is how mlp was treated with those said fans and we are fearful that the community will become mucky and extremely toxic for anyone in it
we dont want su to be treated with that same mind set because it has so much representation, good vibes, and important concepts thrown all into one fantastic show
they can enjoy it but dont turn it into the mess that mlp was
but you don’t own the show though
nor do you have any say who’s allowed to be a fan or how they show their fanaticism.
just let people enjoy it however they want to enjoy it, jeeze.
For a show with ‘good vibes’ people sure are being ridiculously hostile over this.
If that’s what the SU fandom is really like? Inseccure and screeching about ‘icky bronies’???
Then I’m sorry but that sounds like an already corrupted fandom that I’d rather not want anything to do with.
So far, this situation has proven the SU fandom to be incredibly immature and over-reactive.
If you don’t see that as ‘toxic’, being closed off and paranoid about people for being a fan of a different show and generalizing them as a whole based on one shitty website that even they tend to disagree with and hate, then I don’t know what to say.
It’s really sad because there was an episode where the blogger and the poser were younger and the blogger was like “why do you care so much about what people think about you?” and the poser was like “You would to if you knew what people thought about you” and the blogger DID know but still did his own thing and ended up being pretty cool but the poser was still a pathetic poser.
Basically, the SU fandom cares way too much about how people will see them to actually enjoy the show and need to grow up.
i think it’s really funny that it’s perfectly acceptable to many to laugh at a guy for saying “not all men” and make it a popular joke
but when it comes to something like pitbulls it’s “NOT ALL OF THEM ARE LIKE THAT THERE’S THIS HUGE PROBLEM IN THE MEDIA PORTRAYAL AND BLABALA”. but nobody makes fun of them. nobody laughs at them for saying that not all members of a certain gene group are dangerous. they agree.
so certain types of generalizations are accepted and others are not? why can’t we just accept that nobody is the same and it’s not okay to assume people and animals and whatever else is bad before you even know it/them. it’s just sad how much glorified paranoia i see on my dash, because it’s really not healthy to think that way at all. it triggers so much more bad than good and influences more than you think.
So yeah. Not all men. not all women. not all humans. not all cats. not all dogs. not all couches. not all sharks. not all skydiving trips. not all bugs. not all foods. Unless it is fucking proven with evidence that a species or event happens a certain way like a chemical formula or a mindless survival tactic that a mosquito possesses,… don’t assume. don’t generalize.
the first fan art I saw of steven universe was super lesbian porn and I had no idea what that show even was and that was a looong time ago
lol
A war veteren, a lesbian square and an outcast raising the child of their dead leader
Anonymous asked: honestly like 1) the focus isn't just porn; bronies took a decently progressive show and developed an overwhelming presence of hypermasculinity which was very harmful for the target demo and 2) porn of su in itself isn't gonna ruin it for others; adult mlp content is so irresponsibly spread around that it's not really easy to look for sfw fan content and when the target demo is young girls that's a huge issue! simplifying the issue down to just porn is inaccurate and it's a genuine concern.
1) You’re assuming bronies aren’t , or are anti progressive. I have no idea where you would get an idea like this, but I can assure you this is not the case. Most bronies are drawn to MLP because of it’s strong female characters, the same reason so many people are drawn to Steven universe. They encourage progressive ideas like feminism and same-sex relations, as well as many other such things. I mean, they’re constantly called faggots and retards. why wouldn’t they be progressive? they want to remove that type of stigma as much as many of you do.
2) Every month the MLP fandom makes a conscious effort to flag and remove sexual images from easy access to the public, and minors, this effort is called the ‘safe search wrap-up’. if you would like to learn more, then here’s a link.
Also, the average viewer of MLP is far less likely to have internet access then the average viewer of Steven Universe. who let’s their 7 year old browse the internet unattended?
