a very serious theory

ectoviolet:

i begin this post by asking you to examine the designs of all the gems we’ve seen so far (sans steven, a half-human)

image

note one major similarity between all these gems: they have no visible ears

i realize this is only a small sampling of the gems so far seen, but i got lazy. just  trust me. none of them have ears.

now, in the return, jasper makes mention of a “yellow diamond”, obviously a higher-up on gemworld. someone who has a lot of power. this someone, could (and probably would), hypothetically, have more knowledge of earth than anyone may know—including jasper and other homeworld gems.

my theory is as follows: we’ve already seen yellow diamond. in fact, they’ve been here all along.

who are they, you ask?

think to yourself. dig deep. who is it that has no regard for rules, or human life? who seems just too strong to be human? who is it that has no ears?

that’s right. yellow diamond, the series’ antagonist, is onion.

I absolutely LOVE them. They are probably the best thing in the universe.

This scene really tears me up whenever I see it.

Birds and wings are supposed to be a sign of freedom, but as Jasper said Lapis has been a prisoner all her life. Torn down when she’s so close to freedom again and again. And just when she thinks she has it, it turns out it’s not what she thought it would be. And now our baby bird has accepted her fate and the fact that she is no good except a stepping stool for other people, and lives at the depths as a fusion.

Do you see how desperately she tried to fly away it kills me.

Sweet baby bird I love you;

This probably explains why Garnet was SUPER excited in ‘Alone Together’ after seeing Connie and Steven fuse into Stevonnie.
She got to see someone else fuse out of love! Just like herself!
I freaking love this show!

Do you think directors get sad when they realize they will never make a more perfect action sequence than the castle siege set to “I Need A Hero” from Shrek 2?

How did I let myself turn this blog into a steven universe themed blog

By having a huge truth bomb being dropped. It’s just like when the thing happened in gravity falls a few days ago.

musebreaksrmx:

Wait I just realized something about Garnet

Ruby and Sapphire are so in sync they are practically one entity

that’s why Garnet has no multiple limbs, and the only anomaly is her third eye

Malachite had so many bodily mutations because Lapis despises Jasper

Then is it possible that stevonnie had no extra limbs because they were so in sync?
