But for the first time, it’s not really 1# on my list of ‘holy-sh*t-that episode-just-no-oh-my-f*cking-god’ episodes. It’s a strong second, but…
Did any of you watch the most recent Steven Universe?
This is so weird for me. I mean, Not What He Seems had action, ACTION, and bundles of awesome jokes, drama and confirmed theories. It was a blockbuster of a episode!
But… while Rose’s Scabbard was a very…. quiet episode, it was much more powerful for me. We had no bad guys. No running the clock. What few jokes there were were actually admittedly bad. (Sorry Steven, you’re adorable but funny faces are not that funny) But when we got to… that scene. Jesus. I couldn’t stop crying. Literal tears.
Gravity Falls never made me cry. Hell, outside of a few movies and maybe the occasional anime? No cartoon has ever really made me cry. At least that much. I was borderline sobbing goddamn it.
Both shows are quality. But I gotta say, when it comes to heart, Steven Universe seems to always to be juuuuust in the lead for me.
Gravity falls is more about thinking but steven universe is more about feeling. They are both good shows
I’m assuming by “he was a Nazi” you meant he played a PARODY of Hitler in a MOVIE and in that same movie he also plays a barber who disguises himself as said Hitler parody and delivers one of the greatest anti-fascist speeches of all time.
