My Buddhist friend was stopped by a Christian fellowship and asked if she would consider following the word of Jesus Christ. She replied, “No, thanks, but maybe next time around.”

I don’t think they got the joke but I nearly died laughing.

silver-tongues-blog asked: Dude, face it. Your argument holds no water. People don't HAVE to be attracted to gender. People don't HAVE to be attracted to looks. There are people who aren't attracted to anything at all. Like me. Are you gonna say I'm not ace? Are you gonna say something stupid like "oh you just haven't met the right person yet?" because I wouldn't be surprised if you did say that.

highrollinggambler:

You’re right, they don’t have to be attracted to gender or anything, that’s why they’re labeled as asexual. When you form a emotional bond, you, someone or everyone else would have to know what the gender of the person is.

Asexual, aromantics dont form those bonds with people. That’s what the a in ace/aro means. A as in the root for not. And why is gender so important? People can form bonds with people without knowing the gender. And what would a person in a relationship with an agender person be considered? Huh?

Let’s not forget to acknowledge Alexandre Dumas this Black History Month

The writer of two of the most well known stories worldwide, The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo was a black man.

That’s excellence.

Let’s not forget that he was played on screen by a white man. And the fact that he was black is barely ever mentioned or the book he wrote inspired by his experiences.

One time I went to a pizza place and some guy was like “we’re closed, but you can call tomorrow” so I called later and I say “it’s me.” And he said “uh, hello hello?” MADE MY GODAMN LIFE.

Friendly reminder that gray-asexual and demisexual people are part of the asexual spectrum, and have a lot of feelings, experiences and struggles in common with completely asexual people, so it is perfectly rational for them to be part of the asexual community if they wish.

Bonus reminder: Asexual people who make shitty comments about gray-asexuals and demisexuals are hypocrites, and they really ought to know better than to exclude or invalidate someone else’s sexual identity.
