sapphire-and-greyzeek asked: Dragon officially dead, blog is closed T 3 T
I mean, it had a good run. At least I let you live long enough to finish ‘Shine’! But yeah, you should probably just close up the blog now. If you die in AKS, you die for real.
Just how like if you poop in your dreams… You poop in real life….
wow I’ve never seen a bird drink before

You know, I see people focusing on discrimination on the internet more than discrimination in real life. I mean, yeah there’s a lot of awesome shit on the internet and a lot of assholes on the internet, but they seem to forget. You can also find rad shit AND the same types of assholes outside. So just keep that in mind whenever you try and say the internet is a terrible place.
The evolution of girl gamers
Male gamers are so self-centered they act as though women haven’t been playing video games for decades, then act horrified when the female gamers who’ve always been there actually become visible and vocal about the rampant misogyny in the gaming world.
Like seriously, how entitled do you have to be that women saying “it would be nice if I wasn’t treated like shit while trying to enjoy the games I play” translates to “I must be catered to” when video games have LITERALLY been catering to (cishet) men for decades?
More like:
- 1993 - 64% of girls reported playing video games
- 1996 - “home use had increased for fourth grade girls”
- 1998 - “both male and female adolescents play video games on a regular basis."
- 1999 - "88% of the female college students … surveyed were video game players.”
- 2007 - 20-47% of adolescent girls play video games
- 2008 - “94% of girls play video games”
- 2010 - “Forty percent of all game players are women.”
- 2012 - “Women 18 or older represent a significantly greater portion of the game-playing population (30%) than boys age 17 or younger"
- 2013 -"adult women are nearly half of all video game players”
I didn’t get all the dates, but I think you can get the point.
Also considered posting my own personal gaming history, but I would’ve had to go back to the 80s for that. e_e
But the ones who only get views because they have a webcam aimed at their breasts don’t help the “gamer girl” reputation and even calling themselve “gamer girls” is a bit sexist because that’s saying gamer girls are different from gamers. Gamer is a unisex termm, as it means a person who plays games.

Anonymous asked: One piece has kept the same basic quest throughout the entire series. They just get sidetracked with side quests... Kind of like majoras mask.
And even during the ‘side quests’ they usually manage to tie it together with something related to the main storyline.
Usually some kind of character development, power growth, new crew member, or something that seemed insignificant becoming a huge deal later.
Even One Piece’s side-stories are usually important and shouldn’t be thought of as NOT part of the story. Because One Piece really is about the over-arcing journey to GET to the One Piece. Sure they have a goal, but the fun is in the journey, and the story and characters know this all too well.
One piece was the best manga ever.
