PLEASE tell me people on tumblr have been keeping up with that wannabe riot grrl band with disney-level “punk” aesthetics that came out of nowhere and people are calling them an industry plant because im so invested in this
ok so basically this band called the tramp stamps dropped a teaser for this song on tiktok that people quickly starting mocking because of the very fetishizing girlboss “i wish i was gay” lyrics and their very vanilla punk look. i’d link the original video but they removed the sound because everyone was making fun of it so here’s the music video.
what came into question quickly after was 1) their very “disney” punk aesthetics & corny half-baked “feminist” themes 2) the fact they’ve only been a thing since november 2021 but somehow already have a website with animated graphics, merchandise, and full music videos 3) the fact none of them looked like this like eight months ago 4) the fact there’s a “stan account” on twitter that is absolutely a sock puppet run by one of them
there’s so much more that we could go into but that’s the major gist of it so far

fun fact, the voice that says "full metal alchemist" is the voice of father so all i can imagine is father sitting under central and watching all of eds antics and saying "full metal alchemist" is to express the exhaustion at realizing this child is the most important part of the centuries long plan.
what kind of fuckin cues did they give to the voice actor who was tasked with saying “Fullmetal Alchemist” a couple thousand times? bc like it varies based on the context, were they just like “ok now we want you to say it as if it means ‘your entire family was just killed and your town was burned.’ Ok that was great, now say it as though it means ‘i was the only one who bet on the right horse at the Kentucky Derby’”
