Tardigrade corn maze at Treinen Farm in Wisconsin.

theres something deep about such a small animal being drawn on such a large scale

like
do they know
does the tardigrade know of their own portrait that is comparable to thousands of universes in length on their scale?
a portrait drawn by beings that they know nothing about, but whom know so much about them?
beings who live in an entirely other world, yet still admire the small tardigrade?

admiration enough to give a tardigrade a glimpse of a micro and macro world in mirror, to let the tardigrade feel what is felt by those who know them?

im not crying about the tardigrade cornfield, im not

Can you imagine, though, if there are beings as big to is as we are to tartigrades? And they made a portrait of us out of galaxies or something?

That’s a fun thing to think about.

this is exactly what moved me to reblog, but the feeling was so immense that i couldn’t make words around it.

Sometimes I just ignore anon hate because theres a proverb I learnt in a Nigerian movie that said.
‘You cannot run naked after a mad man in the street after he has taken your clothes away from you because the public will not know who is the mad person between the two of you’

I feel like this proverb was based on firsthand experience.

That is weirdly specific but also a pretty good point

The version I learned was “Never wrestle with a pig. You only end up covered in mud and the pig enjoys it.”

I’ve also seen “Never play chess with a pigeon. The pigeon will just knock over the pieces, shit on the board, and strut around like it won the game.”

He didn’t just make this up out of no where; he’s responding to fans tweeting him saying they cannot access it.

I’m not saying to panic, but to imply he’s lying for streams is uncalled for. This so far seems to be a region based occurrence, and I think it’s fair to assume/prep for something happening in the U.S (though things get blocked outside the U.S all the time); it seems like Nas wasn’t involved in any discussions around it getting removed, so he’s just playing it safe lmao If you are outside the U.S, I would try screen recording the song if you like bopping to it✨

best part

It’s true; my family has an Apple Music subscription, and I just tried to listen to it. This is what I got–

Corporations will always prioritize their homophobic, racist consumer bases. There are so many songs that have much worse content, yet I can listen to them without issue. If it’s about the sexual content, why can I still listen to Dead Girl Walking, a song centered entirely around high schoolers having sex? If it’s about the swearing, why can I still listen to all those other songs tagged as explicit? This is purely because Lil Nas X is a black, gay man who made some conservatives complain.
